CD Cases Ps68...haven't found significant wear due to cardboard or paper sleeves but I am interested in learning where you order your "super jewel cases". I've broken a fair number of cases over the years. Would like a replacement for these (as opposed to ...
Amplifier Hum - A Problem Solved Glad for the happy ending. I can well imagine your relief at discovering the cause!
How to listen to the Beatles re-releases? "they were good....but they were not THAT good."I disagree...IMO...THEY CHANGED THE MUSIC WORLD.If you don't agree, I'm OK (though disappointed with your point of veiw). They came at a time and with talent that hasn't been duplicated since. There ...
Rolling Stone top 100 Guitarists - Howe/Van Halen Macdattexas- what's the link to this dubious "greatest list"? I already think I agree with your argument...smells like an injustice has been served. Would like to see who their top 10 are, however. Steve Howe is genius. Same for Eddie VH.
Stylus wear question... Thanks to all... I can rest easier now and some of those responses (Viridian!) made me laugh. Rshak - I will check into "The Lift" Gosh, "Audiogon" what a great country!!!
You know you're an audiophile if-- "You buy an album and clean, then play, the sides in numerical order."Audiofeil - seriously, you mean there's another way?!Gosh, I got some good laughs from these.
Which Totem Speakers My room size and speaker distances are very similar to what you describe (though I sit closer than 9 feet away). I'm enjoying Forests in what another audiophile describes as "near field" listening.

Whats on your turntable tonight? (last night)Robert Cray's "Bad Influence" & "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark".
Pat Metheny Fans, Great Suggestions Please ?? Tvad - I agree with your assessment of ECM vinyl. That label is a credit to the recording industry. You don't have to spend mega-bucks for 180g vinyl or a hot stamper to hear good sound.
Buying late model Samsung DLP rear projection TV? Mjcmt - I did check out the view from different angles along the horizontal...I'd say if anything, the 140 degree optimum is maybe a little conservative. I didn't have a protractor or anything - but you have to be way off axis before you notice an...
Buying late model Samsung DLP rear projection TV? The unit we got was an HL61A750. I agree with Aggielaw...DLPs might not be as bright as LCDs (especially in the show room - if you ask me). Ask the sales person where the brighness, contrast and related settings are for anything you are watching. ...
Buying late model Samsung DLP rear projection TV? Hey Mjcmt - Let me get back to you on that. I will do some "walking around" my unit. Also, I think when I was researching these I came across info relevant to this. If I can find it again, I'll let you know. As much a fan as I am, do go and look a... |
