Power Strip Question - PLEASE HELP
While I'm hardly an expert on this topic, it seems to me you are looking for options to deal with a less than ideal situation. Compromises might well be needed. I attempted to provide a multi-outlet solution for consideration. The H-10 is inexpens...
Power Strip Question - PLEASE HELP
Consider an APC Power Conditioner H-10 as a low cost option for the audio side of your system.
Shopping for a new netbook or laptop...
Once again, thanks to all for your generously given input.
Shopping for a new netbook or laptop...
Thanks to all for your time and input. Some good leads to follow up on. Whether I go PC or MAC, right now I'm just trying to understand if their are minimum processor, RAM and hard drive specs I should observe. Again, my needs are simple: listen t...
Power Cables which take the soundstage back
You might consider a MAC (My Audio Cables) HC Sound Pipe. Reasonably priced (<$200). Can't say it will do all you are looking for in your system, but it is in line with your budget. I did hear a difference when I replaced the stock power cord o...
DAC's ?
Musical Fidelity offers a very affordable unit called the V-DAC. It's also quite small - a plus if you are space- limited as I am. Another Audiogon member highly recommends Beresford's TC 7520. Good luck.
Double Albums/CDs, curse or blessing?
Second's to Loomis for "Exile On Main Street" and Smholl for "The River". Both are solid throughout, IMO.

Cars. What does the typical audiophile drive?
Hello Cw - How's our luck running? I don't have your friend's breadth of experience with Porsches. Have had the chance to drive only a few. You've hit on my tacit point...I believe the GT3 is more or less a factory prep'd racer. Not likely to be m...
Cars. What does the typical audiophile drive?
Cwlondon - Well said...and frankly, I'm marginally apologetic about my little tirade. Your offer of a GT3 is intriguing. Will my wife enjoy driving it more than the Cayman we now have? Don't read too much into "Workingman".
The great Soupy Sales died
Saddened to hear this.Enjoyed him very much.RIP "Onions Oregano"!
Cars. What does the typical audiophile drive?
"2010 Porsche GT3" - yeah, that's a typical audiophile ride, no doubt. Along with the analogous watch, cigar, beer and income threads - this one is stupid from the get-go. Ain't my first encounter with this thread. Just finally had enough. WTF is ...

any new Beatle fans because of the remasters?
Levy03 - Apologies if I contributed to the "sabotaging" of your thread. I was/am a Beatles fan without the remasters and frankly doubt I'll get them. Glad they gave you a reason to listen, however. I lived through the original "Beatlemania" as an ...
