Hello acman3. I had recently become aware of Esbjorn Svensson because of an album by Magnus Ostrom, "Thread of Life". This is one that might be interesting to you. Ostrom played drums with the E.S. Trio. At any rate, I’ve spent some time with E.S....

Thanks for the entry Pokey (and everybody).  I been hearing about The Rembrandts for years and know squat about them.  Guess I should get acquainted.  Will have to check out Glimmer and the Wishing Tree recordings.  Don't know those either.  In my...
Auralic Aries Mini or Bluesound Node 2?
@asahitoro My advice is do one thing at a time.  Don't buy a V-Link or any other USB/SPDIF converter until you live with the Mini (or Bluesound Node) stock as it were.  Your reply post reminded me...yes, I had tried digital coax out of the Mini in...
B3/Hammond Organ - Key Click
@gregkohanmim - You are very welcome, Greg.  Try Deep Purple in Rock...the track, Child In Time.  It might have some of the sound you are looking for.  Here's a version on YouTube...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OorZcOzNcgE&ab_channel=deeppu...
Auralic Aries Mini or Bluesound Node 2?
Haha - I can blame jon for owning the Aries Mini :-)  He's the one that made me aware of it.  Audio Advisor was selling them at the time with a year of Tidal.  They have a 30 day return policy too, so no real risk there.  I think I agree with Jon ...
Auralic Aries Mini or Bluesound Node 2?
If Roon is important to you, forget the Aries Mini.  It streams Tidal just fine but Auralic went with their own software (DS Lightning) and the Mini is not "Roon-ready"...nor will it be, I don't believe.  I own a Mini.  Very happy with it.  Sound ...
B3/Hammond Organ - Key Click
Technical input that might be of interest, though not providing exactly what Greg requested. This from my bro-in-law who is a talented musician (keyboards his forte) and studio owner (engineering, production, mastering). He’s in the AllMusic Guide...

@frogman - pleased you enjoyed the Bunny Brunel clip.  YES!  Frank Gambale...you are exactly right about that  For me it was a bit of serendipity as I'd recently been enjoying Steve Smith/Vital Information "Come On In".  Became aware of Gambale th...

Synergistic Red Fuse ...
Wow.  78 pages devoted mainly to discussing the merits of expensive fuses.  And some wonder why more people aren't attracted to this "hobby".  Go figure.

Is a Drangonfly DAC useful on Spotify audio
Hello again - I’m using DF v1.2 anytime I play from my MBA (plugged into one of the USB ports) regardless of source; e.g., ALAC files, Spotify, Tidal, Radio Paradise, etc.. While it doesn’t change the resolution of the source, getting the D to A c...
