Is the NuPrime CDT 9 Pro a Best Kept Secret? Yeah but what one, as there are some very hard expensive Philips ones also.Cheers George
Is the NuPrime CDT 9 Pro a Best Kept Secret? I recommend Jay’s CDT2. Trouble with that, the CDM-4 laser is getting hard to get and expensive for a new Philips one.Does anyone know what the Nuprime CDT-8 has for a laser, as they quote a the chip on their site but not the laser/mech.Cheers...
CD Transport that has I2S hdmi output, cheaper the better. PS Audio Perfect Wave Transport. This would be good, but way too $$$$ for me. I just need something cheap used that will spin cd’s and give a I2S output, that I can replace the laser in if needed.Cheers George
Another new DAC: Audio Mirror @audiomirror Hi Vlad. We’re interested here and more so on SNA where I posted your new dac, what is the Analog Devices d/a chip your using, on SNA it’s bandied about that it’s the 20bit AD-5791 is this correct ??? audiomirror For balanced output...
Horns: Why don't they image well? For me MrD, I want to see every movement visually, when Miles turns slightly left or right or even facing up then down blatting away on that horn and imagine those fingers moving up and down those valves, as the sound and the visual gives me the c...
CD Transport that has I2S hdmi output, cheaper the better. jackd248 posts11-07-2018 11:15amIf you know the people at McLean’s see if they have the Nuprime CDT-8 transport in stock. Horns: Why don't they image well? Never heard the 4367’s so I can’t comment on them. But looking at that 3" Mid/Highs driver with massive horn crossing over to a 15" at 700hz makes me curious.Cheers George
Horns: Why don't they image well? That’s a BIG reason I own Focal. Every time I heard their speakers they were honest and imaged with startling depth, width, and dynamics. A friend who owns a hifi shop, Len Wallis Audio had the Grand Utopia’s setup driven by Krells in the main ro...
Another new DAC: Audio Mirror clio09 Good to see he's a stayer in this industry Anthony, seeing you've had dealings with him before, any chance of finding out what d/a converter he uses?Cheers George
Horns: Why don't they image well? Okay. But have you heard them? Yes as I've said elsewhere on Agon, I've owned Lascala's, and Forte, a friend owned K-horns and Heresy, in a large converted warehouse. Enjoyable wall of sound all of them, but not precise visual image placement i...
Another new DAC: Audio Mirror XLR analog outputs are available as an option which I realize does not make it "balanced". "Could be" what many do these days, on the output of sources and the input of amps, they just add a single ended to balanced output or input opamp converte...
Horns: Why don't they image well? After living with my jbl 4367 for a month, I just don’t see how imaging could be improved that much more. Do yourself a favor and maybe listen to some relatively cheap Audio Physics speakers, to see what image placement in between and outside the...
Horns: Why don't they image well? I’m willing to sacrifice a tad of dynamics for better imaging. I can totally understand how somebody would reverse those priorities and deem horns virtually perfect. That’s not just the only problem, then there’s the "horn" (gain coloration) to c... |
