Watts and power millercarbon Can somebody break it down in layman's terms for me? In a layman analogy for you. These speakers, one of the worst load a speaker has ever measured. .9ohm EPDRhttps://paragonsns2.imgix.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Alexia-S2-Cov...
Wilson Audio for a 1600 sq ft space @georgehifi The Gryphon evo at $75k the pair new are out of my price range I’m afraid. A used set would probably still be too expensive at this point. @ yvl OP Then a used pair of "John Curl" Parasound Halo JC1’s, I heard these in high bias-Class ...
Looking for great Amp for Martin Logan Prodigy woofers theaudioman They xover at 250hz, so just a Class-D for the bass will be fine that’s what their good at fast dry bass should match up to the speed of the esl's better. Watts and power phase angles EPDR = 0.9ohm load to the amp for the Alexia’s, do it for yourself, you’ll see it.
Need insight on these amps audiogabby OP The Solo’s are not too hard to drive, but with the climbing treble response 5db up at 20k, I’d be more inclined to go with tubes if out of the 3 amps you put up have them.https://www.stereophile.com/content/platinum-audio-solo-loudsp...
Watts and power wolf_garcia Wolf, if you have a sample and hold oscilloscope, you can measure peaks, we did it to the Alexia’s powered up playing orchestral at normal medium level with the Gryphon Antillion, and saw amp peaks after conversion of 80amps+Cheers George
OMG - I am just investigating ‘tweaks’ to improve my audio system. As predicted, immediately after my post cometh the heckler. Those few are engineered and measurable tweaks. For those who wish to see the whole tweakamania story and the other70% of snake oil BS tweaks, they can be seen here. https://forum.audiogon...
Time to buy a class D amp? That went nowhere for me.🤷♂️Would have been nice to know what each amp sounded like driving both speakers, oh well, thanks I guess.🤷♂️Cheers George

OMG - I am just investigating ‘tweaks’ to improve my audio system. tom8999 OP I have decided to buy Krell’s new integrated amp as my replacement - the Krell K 300i. This does dent my budget, but I am excited to get my hands on it - hopefully by Jan 6th per Krell. Per Georgehifi’s earlier comments - I am getting ...
Watts and power clearthink And the result, of such "modern manufacturing" is a product that sounds awful but hey it’s a "lower margin market" so that is to be anticipated and expected. If it existed it would be PA, junk and it wouldn’t be getting it’s 1500w from ...
Recommend service to convert music CDs to high quality digital files I would only have the CD's ripped if the resulting files were a noticeable improvement in the audio quality. You won't improve on the original CD being played on a good transport, into a good R2R dac.Cheers George
synergistic research orange blue fuse direction. The fact that you didn’t see that you started the personal attack today sunshine, and trying to side step it, https://forum.audiogon.com/discussions/synergistic-research-orange-blue-fuse-direction/post?postid=1... shows you are oblivious to facts,...
