Thrift store tune treat for half-buck + tax
I don’t know how you guys do it, listen to classical music all day. There’s a big world out there. 😛 Wasn't it Grouch Marx who quipped, I like my cigar, too, but I take it out sometimes?
Where to buy amr fuses?
Were they a victim of the Aftermarket Fuse wars? Were they swallowed by the Great Vortex?
coupling or decoupling of vinyl to/ from platter
Perhaps the same reason he abandoned fifty other systems. 😬
Audiophile fuses - Synergistic Black fuses vs the còmpetition
btw22FWIW, I tried 2 SR fuses on my Aurender. I wanted them to be better but there was no increase in SQ to my ears so I returned them. If there was no difference in SQ most likely you inserted the SR fuses in the wrong direction and the previous ...
Has anyone had experiences good or bad with speaker isolation or isolation in general ?
Let’s review the bidding. There are 6 directions of motion, the vertical, the horizontal plane (which counts as two directions). Then there is twist, the rotational direction around the vertical axis, and rock and roll directions, the other two ro...
Has anyone had experiences good or bad with speaker isolation or isolation in general ?
A good trick is try to use a single compression spring under the load. That way you can get quite a bit more rotational isolation than with multiple springs. You can potentially get much lower iso system Fr to boot than with multiple springs.
Has anyone had experiences good or bad with speaker isolation or isolation in general ?
The problem with conical springs is they are not linear since the spring rate obviously cannot be the same from one end to the other. It would be like driving a car with two different shocks in series on each wheel, going down the street would be ...
INTERNAL CABLING- Heres some choices, give me your two cents on these cables..... Please _
As I recall prior to his uber expensive NASA approved Ultra wiring speaker upgrade Von Schweikert used Analysis Plus cabling for internal speaker wiring. That would be the cable with hollow oval geometry.
Sorbathane under granite slabs for speaker bases?
jl35how much is the TMC ?My guess is $5K new from factory. On their web site TMC makes the following statements. I know, it sounds like there's an echo in here, right?"Granite TopsGranite surfaces are standard with 64 Series tabletop platforms. Th...
Cerious Technologies NEW Graphene Cables
Ozzy, I don’t blame you but that’s what everybody says about almost all contact enhancers whilst they’re breaking in. You probably should have given it a lot more time before cashing your chips in is all I’m suggesting. That way the new Graphene p...
Cerious Technologies NEW Graphene Cables
perfectpathtechGeoffkait- your right about the extreme av the best, however it took 1000 hours for breakin! Eight long weeks but well worth the wait! How did you know when it was completely broken in?There's no need to reply. It's a rhetorical qu...
Sorbathane under granite slabs for speaker bases?
The very expensive TMC isolation platform uses a thick granite top plate. I have used thick granite and bluestone with springs, sonically exceptional in every way. High stiffness and high mass on springs, cannot beat with stick. Granite cannot rin...
how is this possible
They're communists. Hel-loo!
WA-Quantum GmbH's Quantum Chips
Just for the record, I had excellent results using the WA chip on my Audio Magic nano liquid fuse. I also had good results on headphones near the transducers with the inductor WA chips, on the breaker box with cable WA chips, and on various other ...
Sorbathane under granite slabs for speaker bases?
The same reason Sorbothane is used for shoe insoles - shock absorption - makes it unsuitable for use in isolation devices since Sorbothane stores energy, preventing energy from rapidly exiting the system. Compared to what, you ask? Compared to say...
