Why no “Break in” period?
Duelund capacitors are said to take, what, 600 hours to break-in. O...M...G 😱

Who would have guessed an imaging technology involved X-rays? 😳 Gee, I wonder if the X-Ray telescope “sees” X-Ray photons? Side note, even lower energy visible light photons can travel through solid materials. In fact that’s how CDs work. Speaking...

Say, speaking of the OP whatever became of him anyway? He kind of left us dangling here. Did his self-destruct button blow itself up? 😳
Question on phono input noise levels
Something tells me that’s probably not true. 🤔
What are the best Room Accustic Treaments members have found?
“I know HFTs are high frequency transducers but what about transducers for low frequencies?” - That’s gold, Jerry, gold! High frequency transducers affect low frequencies of the acoustic waves as well as higher up the frequency range. That’s becau...

That’s what the paragraphs I posted stated. You must be one them know-it-alls. The whole point, without all the jibber jabber, is that X-rays are photons, not electrons. Don’t have an aneurism.
Why no “Break in” period?
Actually it’s very difficult, for speakers, to separate out the effects of diaphragm break-in and the effects of break-in of internal wire, speaker cable, internal crossover parts like inductors and capacitors. You know what they say when you ASSU...

How Science Got Sound Wrong
I’m afraid things are much worse than audiophiles think they are. Are sensory perceptions are influenced by not only the obvious physical conscious reality around us but also by the subconscious physical reality, that over which we have no control...

I forgot - the ELF signal contains the short message, the VLF signal contains the long message. Cut me some slack, it’s been 40 years.

What are X-rays? atdavid got interrupted. 😬 The point of X-rays, in the context of this discussion, is that photons of sufficient energy can penetrate deep within solid material. “The first way x-rays are produced is the result of the collision be...

Almost everything you just wrote is wrong. To whit, X-rays are not electrons. They’re photons, just like any other form of electromagnetic waves. That’s why EM waves travel at light speed - they ARE light, just not visible light. That’s gold, Jerr...
How Science Got Sound Wrong
It’s not the CD, it’s the CD player. The CD data is fantastic by and large. The problems are all in the CD player. Even “digitally remastered” cassettes are more “musical” than CDs, generally speaking. It’s not really an industry problem, though, ...
Grimm findings on streaming audio
The CD flutters too and I can hear that very easily. Flutter is bad.
