First, Fix Your Skull
Is anybody thinking what I’m thinking? Bald headgear for audiophiles with hair. Improve your hearing without having to shave your head. Hel-loo! Comes in various styles, the Curly, the Yul Brenner and the John Travolta.
Turntable isolation platforms
brotw70We’re all talking about the same thing here. I’ve just provided a alternate, general way to understand what’s going on, not just with turntables but speakers and components with noisy transformers as well. Mass on spring works well at low f...
Value of mint condition first pressing of Sgt. Pepper?
Rule of thumb - if it looks like it hasn’t been played it’s probably not the 1st Pressing 😀
Recommendation for an audiophile speaker cord that is not "bright"?
ruraltraumasurgeonMy system is great!>>>>>That’s what everyone says. Think how much better your system would be with some high end speaker cables. Ironically Nordost actually doesn’t believe in directionality. They think cables brea...
Recommendation for an audiophile speaker cord that is not "bright"?
I realize I will probably get a lot of heat for saying this but it’s Christmas time so what the hell. The primary reasons cables sound bright can be placed right at the doorsteps of (1) they aren’t broken in yet, (2) they’re in the wrong direction...

Gosh, no wonder older bald audiophiles hear better. 🤗
Looking for Wagner recommendations
Die Walkure, there are quite a few great ones. Hard to go wrong. The one with Leinsdorf, Nilsson, Vickers is amazing.
DIY speaker isolation base for a wood floor
Michael, Folks would generally be much better off if they believed in too much rather than too little. Would you believe I’m using mass-on-spring isolation right now? No, I’m not hot dogging you. 🌭 There are a great many advantages to small batter...
Affordable cables
Which one? Scotty Moore? Roger Moore? Mary Tyler Moore?
DIY speaker isolation base for a wood floor
If there was no such thing as decoupling we never could have detected and observed gravity waves. The only challenge for decoupling for audio is how many directions 🔜 🔚 🔝 you can decouple from and how low a resonant frequency Fr you can achieve fo...
Turntable isolation platforms
brotw69I look at vibration control through an RF impedance matching background. Spiking heavy speakers or platforms improves sound by rejecting high energy bass frequency vibrations in a suspended wood floor moving up into the component or speaker...
Does raising speaker cables off the floor really make a big difference?
The reason for “isolating speakers” is not really to prevent vibrations from the floor being transmitted to the speakers, although that would occur, it’s to prevent the vibrations from speaker cabinets being transmitted to the front end electronic...
New upper trim level Corvette or seven year old used amps?
Margaret at school who I actually didn’t know all that well, loaned me her almost new 1964 Daytona blue Corvette 327 soft top to take back home for the weekend. Was that a Mako! I think maybe it was. Whatever it was it would $hit and git.
Does raising speaker cables off the floor really make a big difference?
It’s much easier to isolate a subwoofer than speakers generally, anyway, due to center of gravity issues and subs are most likely more of a problem, you know, with the much lower frequencies so that’s where I’d put my money first - on isolating th...
How Science Got Sound Wrong
I did my best. I gave it the smell test. But I don’t think I can use it. Now, the ice crystal thing I can use! Information fields I get and I can use them. But best wishes for you and your pets.
