Describe ube sound vs solid state
Headphones actually provide the pure clear unadulterated signal including the soundstage information that is captured during the recording. Why screw with that pure signal with extraneous room reflections, standing waves, comb filter effects, echo...
Purpose of Dome on Tweeter...
Addendum. I meant dust cap not whizzer cone. Oopsy daisy. It's the dust cap on woofers that buzzes and vibrates.

Speaking of domed woofers, has anyone else noticed how much the whizzer cone vibrates and buzzes? That's obviously due to higher frequencies that get in through the crossover filter. But has anyone tried to damp the woofer whizzer cone and prevent...

Running All Your Cables with The same Brand
Wolf, was the reason that solid core seems like a good idea because stranded wires all bunched together tend to interfere with each other? I like that reason, too, even though it may or may not be true. On a related subject, how come they always u...

Parasound halo JC2 what a joke
Just curious, did the repair shop glue the ON/OFF switch back on? If that's all they did for $175 I'd be pissed off, too.

Unsound wrote,"Dollar for dollar through most typical loud speakers; high quality tube amplifying devices will more likely distort frequency response more than high quality solid state amplifying devices will."The problem is distortion is overrate...

"Audiophile" fuses. A comparison.
Hifial, there are many reasons why folks sometimes get no results or even results that hurt the sound with fuses or almost any audio device or component you can think of. While that is evidence there might be some issue with the fuse or device or ...
"Audiophile" fuses. A comparison.
I believe that's what we call an outlier, when you have difficulty hearing a fuse or whatever. That's why it's often an excellent idea to cast out outliers.
