SVS Subwoofer Isolation feet. Will I lose bass?
The funny thing is if you weren’t so “cheap minded” you could have correctly isolated your entire system for what you paid for your homemade devices. Do you see the humor? 😀Cheapness is not a virtue all of the time. - Pee-wee Herman

Sorry to disappoint but unless you are isolating with spring type devices you’re not blocking seismic vibrations. The very low frequency seismic type vibrations 0 to 20 Hz can ONLY be blocked or attenuated by decoupling - mass-on-spring isolation....
Tuning Collars on speaker cables - concept and any good?
Somebody has a bad attitude. I won’t mention any names. Have you ever heard of The Little Train that Could? I think I can, I think I can, I think I can... 🚂 Toot! Toot!

“As you can see nothing gets through.” Max Townshend video demonstrating speaker isolation, AND it’s on a cement floor! Hel-loo!!  🤗https://youtu.be/BOPXJDdwtk4
Most recordings you own by a single artist, group, or composer
I accidentally stumbled onto the chalet way up on Red Mountain in Aspen CO where Dave Brubeck and his group occasionally practiced and hung out. They were not there at the time, only the caretaker who let us listen to the stereo system. Six or sev...
Who's Gone Topless?
In Mapleshade’s Pierre Spray’s “laboratory” downtown DC where I demo’d my Nimbus iso platform back in ‘96 all electronics were sans covers (as we say in the biz). Everything was connected together with those really cool 54 ga interconnects and tee...

Up your nose with a rubber hose, 🍑🤡 No offense.

Actually the speakers move more without isolation. The very low frequency seismic type forces are causing the entire building to rock back and forth. The idea that speakers rock back and forth on springs or wobble is a f-f-fallacy. It’s the opposi...

I’ve had those purple Shun Mook Original Cable Jackets and the spiral Cable Wrap, both of which were purported to absorb “reflected signal” in the cable. Both of those devices worked well (when correctly positioned) so the concept seems to be valid.

Microprocessors in electronic devices, especially all the ones in CD and Blu Ray players like Oppo, generate beaucoup RFI. So, removing the top metal cover or using a plexiglass cover instead allows the offending photons to exist the component rat...
Perfect Path Total Contact no longer?
Yikes! What the ding dong?! 😲

Thousands of audiophiles isolate their speakers and subs with spring-based iso devices. And guess what, they ain’t amateurs. This isn’t the 1980s any more, guys. Wake up and smell the coffee! ☕️

Good comeback. Did your mother write that for you?
