Budget 15' interconnect recommendation @hifi28 Think about this for a second. As an egress window, the likelihood of needing it is pretty slim overall. Even with an amp on the floor in front of it, access is still a problem potentially. A rack high enough for a preamp and amp is only g...
Bluesound Node Does Not Stream Pandora...bummer! One other thing… Pandora overall quality is NOT hifi keep in mind. You may be hearing the inferiority of Pandora, not the connection type as well.
Bluesound Node Does Not Stream Pandora...bummer! @mitch4t you said you tried Bluetooth. Airplay is not through Bluetooth. It is through the NODE same sample rate etc. the Airplay connection is WiFi. Should be night and day.
Looking for new speakers for large audio room @ronboco it does, but potentially to an even higher degree as you have elevation in the mix. Also, and is recommended, the crossovers of each are slightly different. Take a look. It’s an expensive endeavor with the Rels though, and the S serie sub...
The two stages of audiophilia Can’t is definitely the operative word… as in afford. But hey, whatever. Rule 1… see rule 10Rule 10… return to rule 1. It never ends.
Help! I Need An Amp Purchase Option Other Than PayPal No way in hell… out of state Craigslist? What could possibly go wrong!? Keep an eye out here or USAM, you’ll do much better IMO.
Bluesound Node Does Not Stream Pandora...bummer! The Node will play Pandora just fine. Open the app (Pandora) on your phone (IPhone assuming) or iPad and simply airplay it to the Node. I do it all the time when noodling around the house. Easy Peasy.
Looking for new speakers for large audio room Here’s what I would do… at that price point, buy at least two, preferable 4 more Rel 812’s and stack them to do the stereo sub line array. Bass will never be a consideration again. It will blow you away and you will have no need to add anything el...
Whats on your turntable tonight? Berlin: Pleasure Victim 1982 original. Great album!
Hum coming from Turntable Try this. Gently move your cart wires a bit with your finger when everything is turned on and the tone arm is “home”. See if that changes anything. I had ground issues for quite awhile and found that I had to have anything the turntable was connec...
Budget 15' interconnect recommendation I’m going toss the obvious… why do they “need” to be so far apart? I can relate to space issues etc. what causes the distance?@ghdprentice curious why you dismiss Blue Jeans as such?
Budget 15' interconnect recommendation Your best bet is XLR for that run. But a well shielded rca can work. Give Rob at Audio Art a call, he is very helpful and will steer you in the right direction. Excellent company and products IMO.
Hum coming from Turntable The simple answer to your question is yes. All of the above can create hum. Usually it is a ground loop somewhere. Is it a high sound buzz or actual low pitched hum? If the latter, that is a ground issue usually. You didn’t mention your phono stag...
How hot is too hot? @epz- As others have mentioned, leave the main power switch on 24/7. That is what Parasound is referring to. Just put it in standby when not in use. That’s pretty standard practice for amps.
What are you streaming tonight? Chantel Chamberland big various mix. Killer voice! |
