Adcom a weak link? And, can I ask, what speakers are you using/considering? Also, is it a small or large room? Do you want it loud or are just listening and relaxing?
Adcom a weak link? Hmm, I'll have to think about this. How much power do you need for your speakers?
New Bamboo Speakers Feedback Prices seem okay, maybe a little high for an item that you can't audition. Is there anyway to send out review samples, so we can judge for ourselves?Bob
Buying Without Audition Well, you're not in the boonies.I am pretty sure Atlanta has a few good shops that would make it a day trip.Come on guys, let's give larstusor some help.
Amp or speaker first, upgrade I own the Vandy 3a sigs and enjoy them immensely. I have no experience with the Definitive speakers, so I cannot give any comment to their soundFor me, I would consider upgrading the speakers first. If you think you will go with Vandy's, I suggest ...
Berkeley Dac 2 or PS audio DSD or Schiit Yggs? I am biased toward the Schiit. I own the Bifrost Multibit and can attest to its' musicality.
New Bamboo Speakers Feedback Mechans, I, too, asked Bruno for information on the sound, as well as dealers, but he seems to have disappeared.
Buying Without Audition Theo1124, you are very fortunate to have found a speaker matching your needs sight unseen. Perhaps having an honest dealer to help you make your decision is also a plus.Larstusor, if you could give us a rough location, maybe we could direct you to...
Subwoofers Zardozmike, if you want 'seamless', then I urge you to try/audition the Vandersteen subs. They are without a doubt, as seemless as you can get. I don't know where you are located, but look up Johnny R on Agon, he is a dealer who can guide you. And...
New Bamboo Speakers Feedback I loved Image #10, using pen and paper- how quaint. Just kidding...They look nice, but how do they sound? Dealers in the US?
Tidal music to analog preamp I have a Schiit Bifrost Multibit Dac, which sounds great and doesn't cost much, and should outperform a Sonus by a wide margin. I assume a MacBook Air has USB (I'm a PC guy).
Adcom a weak link? Perhaps you should contact Musical Design-http://www.musicaldesign.com/MC_AdcomAmp_mods.html. They perform upgrades on old Adcom's. Maybe they can do some mods to yours. Their prices seem very reasonable, too
Anyone buy any music stuff from this site : music-equipments.com You don't list your country, but if you reside in S.E Asia, I suppose it would be a way to purchase equipment. Aren't there any local reviews of this company?
Adcom a weak link? I have an old Adcom 555. When I restarted my audio purchases, I bought a McCormack DNA-1 which I sent for upgrade. During the upgrade I used the Adcom. I have to say that when I installed the upgraded McC, I was surprised at how well that old Adc...
Buying Without Audition I agree, gillatgh, but the OP isn't near any dealers, so he has to rely on reviews. But, I agree, some reviewers are not entirely forthcoming of their relationship with the item being reviewed. But, thanks to the internet, one can get a fairly goo... |
