Goldenear Reference Vs. Focal Sopra #2.....pocket the $5k difference and don't look back?
All in-house designed and hand built in France vs. subwoofers and drivers slapped in a box and made in China. You realize of course your statement means the premise is that something touched by a humans hand is necessarily preferable or otherwise c...
Goldenear Reference Vs. Focal Sopra #2.....pocket the $5k difference and don't look back?
To all the Golden Ear naysayers about the the parts quality, China, Sandy and what have you I’ve personally listened to an in home audition of a $200K of Alta Statement towers and I’m rather content in knowing how much of a better value (price/sou...

RCA Shorting Plugs
Like many other threads on this forum that are essentially duplicative, I recently resurrected an older topic related to this subject. https://forum.audiogon.com/discussions/rca-capsGiven the input (no pun intended) of Al and George (and others, t...

Help a guy out? Renovating home theater system after 10 years and have a few questions.
Samsung’s whites were way out of control. My unit was pro calibrated by Kevin Miller. Trust me, the whites (and all other colors) are very much under correct control for P3, REC2020, D65, HD Rec.709.

@noble100 Hi Tim. So by your own admission, your LG 86SJ9570 ***MATCHES*** the picture quality of my Samsung UN65KS9800.So again, whats so obvious?

power conditioner
Balanced power is nice if you can pull it off without introducing other problems. It is useful for lowering susceptibility to noise on the line. Often it is done by using an isolation transformer of some sort. If this is the case, the transformer ...

@falconquest Poor choice of words on my part in my prior post. Please accept my apologies.I had a knee jerk reaction given that in your previous post you had mentioned balanced power. I didn't hear anything in the video explain or otherwise addres...
