Classe 350 vs Pass Labs X600.5
The 600.5 should be considerably better, at $16,000/pair, 600W @ 8 ohms, and class A up to 170W versus $7,000/pair, 350W @ 8 ohms, and class A up to 80W for the CAM-350. Apples and oranges.
Why are my mosfet fuses blowing?
Bearr38, this is the first time I'm seeing this thread. if both mosfet fuses are blowing, that leads me to believe your problem is with the speakers. I don't understand though why the mosfet fuses would blow under extreme load conditions but not t...
Classe' model 20 pre anyone?
The model 20 was Classé's entry level preamp somewhere around 1991-92. Its probably alright if you are upgrading from an inexpensive receiver, but you can do much better with one of the better Classé models like a 5/5L, 6/6L, CP-45, CP-50, CP-47.5...
Sonic Frontiers and Classe XLR
Coxhaus,Didn't you get the owner's manual for the CAM-350s ? It has the XLR pinout configuration and other information. You can download the manual from the Classé website.http://www.classeaudio.com/downloads/pdfs/archived%20manuals/CAM-350_Owners...
Binding post upgrade for Classe CAP-151?

Binding post upgrade for Classe CAP-151?
You may have luck with WBT Nextgen #0710 or Topline #0730.01 posts as drop-in replacements. At the most you may have to slightly trim the WBT insulating bushings and reduce their thickness a hair with a utility knife and sandpaper. Cardas or Vampi...
Classe P-700 & CAM-400 noise problem
Good advice about checking for loose or broken wires, but unless you know what you're doing, I would not go poking around in the amp. One slipped probe and you could end up causing extensive and costly damage, and void the warranty.
Classe or McIntosh
Sonicbeauty, I own/have owned several Classé components, and have communicated with their customer service department many times over the years. I have never failed to reach anyone at the factory by phone when I needed to, and have always had some...
Help Proceed AVP2 fuse burn out
After a couple of tries and blown fuses, don't keep installing fresh ones and applying power without diagnosing the cause, or you risk doing additional, costly damage. I gave this same advice to a member on another forum who did not heed my warnin...
Isoclean vs. Oyaide
Shellie, my comment about Leviton not being on the same level was meant to be negative. I have used both Leviton and Furutech outlets. Let us just say I ditched Levitons many years ago. Its fine if you like Teslaplex. Others may get different resu...
Amplifier Hum - A Problem Solved
Prevention is better than cure. Avoid using electrical devices that are sources of DC offset in the first place. However, you have no control over what your neighbor on the same power company transformer does, and their use of such devices could a...
Amplifier hum - normal?
If you are referring to the OP, I built him a DC blocker that cured his hum problem.http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-5/191557/DC_BLOCKER_02.jpg
Isoclean vs. Oyaide
The Teslaplex outlet looks like just a regular commercial grade Leviton treated with "Quantum tunnelling", whatever that is. The materials in Leviton receptacles is not on the same level as Oyaide or Furutech. I can't speak for Isoclean as I've ne...
Amp transformer buzz/hum from DC on AC line?
I second what Jea48 said. I have deliberately induced hum in transformers with DC as an experiment and solved a number of DC problems with simple DC blocker.
I'm convinced: my Power Conditioner was ruining...
"I am especially dubious of putting something in the line between the wall and your amp - in fact I am tempted to hard-wire my amp at home directly to the AC supply line in the wall!"Don't! Its a code violation. You need to be able to disconnect t...
