References available on real life room "tuning"? If windows are part of the problem Marigo Tuning dots really do work and are about the size of a 50 cent piece - one per small window, 2-4 on large windows

Audio Horizons TP 2.0 Preamplifier Sherod welcome back and glad to hear you are feeling better. Though I moved to Ayon I still have great respect of AH sound and support and would love to hear the 2.3 myself.
People buying Transports again? I have an Ayon CD5s which to my ears still beats all the computer based audio that I have heard. It does have async USB and other digital inputs for later, but I think we will see terrific strides in computer audio in terms of simplicity, cost, an...

Found good & affordable amp for Magnepans I switched years ago from the respected Aragon 8008BB to Class D Nuforce V3SE and have never looked back Congradulations on your discovery.
Tube dampers/coolers effect on preamp sound? I did not like the effect with my Audio Horizons Preamp (lost openness and aliveness) though it did stop microphonics
Isolation for DAC/Class D Power Amp I found Hyperion Magnetic floaters helpful under my Nuforce Class D amps, but also weighting them down. Many Class D amps are so light-weight in lbs that weighting helps as much with vibration as the isolation. |
