btwthe rega 9 is coming out now with a new model 9. the arm is the rb 1000. it may be worth checking out, there are a lot of upgrades, wiring, power supply, arm, etc.

lou reed's blue mask may not be startling, but it is truly amazing. i listen to the german lp, or the japanese cd. the soundstage, two guitars, an amazing bass, and drums are swirling all around you. this is lou's best.

How important is precise VTA adjustment?
many cartriges work with the rega arm, without vta issues, thus, no need for the cost/shimming headaches, etc.

i just purchased a used jupiter on audiogon. i am running it with a kora equinoxe pre. i love them both.

i may be mistaken, but i think the ground wire goes to a metal portion of the turntable chassis, or the arm itself. 
Hum a problem with Planar 25/ Grado cartridge?
Have a 25 mounted with a super elys, very happy with it.Have also heard to avoid grado with a rega.Have heard that dynavector is a good match with rega. 
AC Conditioners: Must Have Tweak or More Voodo
the power conditioners are valuable for controling voltage spikes that can damage equipment. grounded units can also help with lightning strikes that can fry your equipment. they will not help though, unless they are grounded. you may need to find...
