TONEARM DAMPING : DAMPED OR NOT ? ? USELESS ? ? WELCOMED ? ?
so @rauliruegas not only you  are not going to apologize for your offensive post, but you repost the same hate-filled nonsense after the moderators remove it! There is no place in this world for these comments and we should all petition audiogon t...
TONEARM DAMPING : DAMPED OR NOT ? ? USELESS ? ? WELCOMED ? ?
Japanese people are not a true reference as true audiophiles, they likes high distortions and unfortunatelly they don’t know that what they are hearing has those higher distortions. I don’tcare about those gentlemans, I only took them as an exa...
Torqueo - any info or updates?
Torqueo is based on a Rek-O-Kut Rondine design. Erik, idlers can be wonderful but do come with drawbacks. You can read online about Art Dudley's experiments with idlers. Among other  things, he renovated a ROK. This one should be way above any DIY...
Warm up time for record playing
@rvpiano I hear the same thing. Count me in the camp of "warm" people as opposed to the "stone cold" ones. @mijostyn your attempt to "rationalize" the phenomenon and discount everyone else experiences is an insult to science.
Sumiko Flux Buster Instructions Needed
@lubachl Here are the instructions for the Audioquest DM-1000, which was a similar demagnetizer:AUDIOQUEST DM-1000 PHONO CARTRIDGE DEMAGNETIZER Most phono cartridges use "soft" magnetic materials. This includes the cores of MC cartridges as we...
MP150 or MP200
From the F9 manual:"Grace deems the F9D a playback standard and recommends it with pride to music lovers, audio enthusiasts and professional users." " The F9P satisfies the extraordinary demands made by professionals, while bringing the F9F qualit...
MP150 or MP200
For the record... Grace Disco stylus has nothing to do with DJs. It was marketed to audiophiles. It is a high quality nude diamond. I assume the name comes from the fact that it is spherical. The F9D, which I own, has a recommended tracking force ...

Retipping Cartridge
The uncalled-for vitriol on Agon reminds me of these Badly Drawn Boys’ lyrics:I’ve, been pissing in the wind-I chanced a foolish grin,- and dribbled on my chin-Now the ground, shifts beneath my feet-The faces that I greet, never know my name-Just ...
VTF gauge
Don't waste your money. Measuring at the exact height of the album is not critical. What is critical is that you can make accurate measurements repeatedly. The manufacturer provides a VTF range  because each sample might vary slightly for any give...
pickering cartriidge xv 15 any good.
Argument from authority (argumentum ad verecundiam)? Congratulation Chakster for owning the best. Now is the time for you to stop buying cartridges otherwise your best will soon become trash...As for your experience: everyone can judge based on th...
pickering cartriidge xv 15 any good.
Pickering XV and Stanton 680 series are Moving Iron cartridges. The ones you keep mentioning are MM. The styli are not interchangeable between the two. Really Chakster, it is OK to acknowledge that you have not heard these cartridges with their to...
pickering cartriidge xv 15 any good.
V15 was the entry level cartridge for Pickering, not the XV15. None of the styli I mentioned was a bonded elliptical.  I suggest Google: it is a useful source of information for people who do not know the facts.
pickering cartriidge xv 15 any good.
@chakster, I do not know why I am wasting my time with you, (your rudeness does not really warrant a response), but I guess the internet is full of misinformation and we do not need more... Before any of the models you mention were around, the XV1...
