Stan Getz VOYAGE You are welcome, Albert. Roxy54, it is available on CD, a couple of copies on ebay right now.
Stan Getz VOYAGE "Voyage", it is! The Audiogon gremlins strike again. Have no idea why the title did not appear next to Stan Getz. Sorry about that. Enjoy.
Are you too old to be an audiophile? Farjamed, my observation/comment was not meant to offend. I don't know you, and I respect however you choose to participate in discussions on Agon. However, I will say that my experience is that, IN GENERAL, participants who seldom discuss music t...
Are you too old to be an audiophile? Mijs, Bravo!
Are you too old to be an audiophile? I should have also pointed out that in the case of the posting history of posters holding the other (majority) viewpoint, there is a far greater percentage of posts about music in relation to posts about gear.
Are you too old to be an audiophile? I often find it interesting, and telling, to look at the posting history of participants in a thread; particularly when there is disagreement. In the case of this thread, there are two posters, Douglas Schroeder, and Farmajed, who share a strong d...
are audiophiles different than non audiophiles ? There is a basic flaw in the question. It really needs to be two seperate questions. Cut evenly spaced slits in the foam which will securely hold your tubes. An added benefit is that they will be easily accessible, and you save damage to the cardb...
listening in the dark? Interesting. I prefer CORRECT (for me) lighting. I find that certain subtle localized (as opposed to overhead) lighting greatly enhances the listening experience. Particularly when I want to get my audiophile jollies.
What is your favorite tv theme song/composition? Second Twilight Zone, and Mission Impossible,Lets not forget the theme to "Sanford and Son"; great tune.
Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC? Banquo363, I have no doubt that you heard what you describe. Isn't it interesting? This is what makes analog so fun and so maddening. It's all about synergy.
Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC? ***The cart had a muddy bottom end that drove me crazy, and it was deficient in dynamics. I would switch between Empire and the Azden or the AT 20SS and the differences especially in dynamics were like night and day.***Banquo363Very interesting ob...
MC loading at 47K Look at Audiofeil's answers very closely. Perhaps I am mistaken, but your OP suggests that you don't understand how loading a MC cartridge works. Running a cartridge into a "wide-open" 47K load, means that the cartridge sees less resistance than a...
MM cartridge comparable to a Benz L2 The Empire is a screaming buy at $120. I use the D4000III, and I think it is a fantastic cartridge. It rivals, in most respects, my Shelter 901, and VDH MC1. Be carefull 'though, in assuming that higher gain will solve your hum issue. What you are...
