Replacing Capacitors, I Don’t Wanna!
I just picked up a Mark Levinson no 27 amplifier from a client I believe the amp is from 1989-1990 before Levinson was booted and company bought off... After testing it one channel sounds lifeless, no bass, tinny... I took it to the repair shop a...
I Sold my CD Player!!! Streaming sounds so incredible!!!
I haven't played CDs in a long time, but I still buy CDs very often.  I bought a Aurender N150 a couple years ago and it is excellent, but the reason I went with Aurender over Roon was the built in hard drive. I have Qobuz and use it sometimes, ...
Integrated Suggestions for a Garage System
In my shop I have a pair of Ascend acoustics old CBM 170s I bought 20 years ago mounted in the corners.. powered by a ATI 1202 amplifier I had laying around, and I bought a Audioengine B1 Bluetooth receiver going to the amp that has a decent DAC c...
Basically happy, but…
Personally I like Acoustic Zen, the Absolutes are great, so is Matrix Reference ... So holographic and natural and takes you to the room where the recording happened
Looking for a great front ported bookshelp speaker recommendation
I have a pair of Jean Marie Reynaud (JMR) Trente bookshelves for my office set up and they are awesome front ported speakers, so smooth and non fatiguing and very musical. They are a French company that has been around a long time.   The Trente'...
Aftermarket fuse to tame a bright system?
Yeah, they will help.. I have Synergistic Research fuses in every fuse holder in my system, streamer, DAC, amp etc... They do help with a more analog and smoother sound .. not sure how but they do work and I'll always use them going forward.. I ha...
HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR SYSTEM IN LESS THAN 30 SECONDS
Those bands are good, but it's boring and we've all heard it a million times, great songs  great recordings but there is so much great music with insane fidelity besides that stuff... And your 100% streaming which sounds like crap anyway, that's y...
Small footprint subwoofer
I installed a Kef Reference 8B for a client recently... I was worried it wasn't going to hit low or have enough power for a large room... I was wrong, not sure how they make two 8 inch woofers move that kind of air but holy smokes that thing is le...
Discrete R2r With Tube Output
I was just at the hifi show and that LTA aero was in a couple rooms, sounded really good, very smooth and analog.. and it looks really cool
Importance of streamer in audio chain
I used to have a Sonos Connect that was modified by Modwright I think, they redo the clock and put a nice coax jack, power supply I think... serving up my music library that is all WAV files ripped to a network hard drive.. It sounded great. I go...
T.H.E. Show in Costa Mesa on Friday
Tonian Labs out of Burbank had one of the best rooms, especially considering it's $9500 speakers with a $4k Denon integrated amp .. as good or better than rooms 10x the price... By far the most transparent room in the show at any price...  The J....
Surge protector
Why don't you just take the amp boards out of the speakers and take them to be repaired? It's probably just a few screws and a couple connectors, and they probably weigh under 10 lbs, not that hard to do.

I have two wave generators, one in the front and one behind me. I'd just try one too start, I've had my cousin who is the least audiophile person notice the difference when I A/B on/off tested it on her. My buddy has the Acoustic Revive one that i...

I say get a couple Schuman wave generators, I buy the $50 nobsound ones on Amazon, they are in a wood case and look much nicer than the cheap plastic $10 ones, but they really add a smoother more analog sound quality without touching anything in y...
Better hearing
I just bought these eardrops for ringing ears at Rite Aid... I had a situation where a home alarm went off while I was trying to put in the (wrong) code .. like 140db high pitched noise at point blank for 2 minutes .. my ears hurt and were ringing...
