Auricle Audio Design encore kapton vs. anti-ICs
Had a brief stint with the Anti-Cables several systems ago. I returned them. Can't really remember what the deficiencies were now. Recently purchased the Encore Kaptons and really and I really like their open clear sound.
Tell the truth How often do you clean your gear?
Usually about once every 6 weeks I dust.
Should I end my search
No one can advise you about cables in your system. It's all about your trial and error. From one who has been in the cable jungle, leave your system as is for one month. Leave your gear on and listen to music as you normally do. If at the end of a...
Morrow MA3 vs Grover Huffman ICs
Anymore I seldom ever see GH cables mentioned in the forums here or at the other audio forum. Interest seems to have cooled way off. The Morrow cables come up all the time.
Ohm Walsh Micro Talls: who's actually heard 'em?
I haven't posted to this thread for a while as I've been changing components over (and over again) the past year. I have Ohm Walsh 5000 prototypes in 5-S3 cabinets. It has been months of changing out electronics, cables etc. and listening to get t...

SA11 S2 SACD player. I'm listening to more CDs
My take is that different system synergies will affect the sound of most any player from system to system.
Esound E5 Signature VS Jolida JD100
Hi Marco, I've never heard the Esound. I do own an Underwood Level 1 modified JD 100. I've had the 100 for years and it compares favorably to more expensive players that I own now and in the past. You might consider a mod....
Audiophiles are older than dirt
"Do you remember where you were that day"In the schoolyard in front of my elementary. A teacher came out and announced JFK had been shot. School was canceled. Everyone went home and watched TV in a sad daze.
Audiophiles are older than dirt
I'm pretty old but older than dirt? No not that old. What about chum gum, royal crown cola, chuck taylors, and rotary phones? Don't wax too nostalgic about the 50's or the 60's. With the so called "innocence" of those decades there was also some t...
Favorite Pianists
Jazz,Thelonius Monk without question and a tip of the hat to Horace Silver and Herbie Hancock.
Music you HATE the most but once you LOVED it
Leave Yes alone. My all time Progressive rock favorite. Wish the "Yessongs" remaster was better quality. It will always be a one of a kind great to me. True their music had no soul, but soulless? That's just not fair. They were musical virtuosos.
You're selling that? But you just got it
Hi honey I just saved $5000 on this turn table ... now she's impressed because the $5000 you saved will buy her a lot of shoesDavehrab (Threads | Answers | This Thread)No way Dave. Sorry, but your idea doesn't work for me. If the savings on a turn...
Recommend Well-Recorded Hard Bop Jazz on CD?
Orpheus10, No, as far as I know there is no connection to a movie. By the way "Paris Blues" was recorded live at the Olympia in Paris.
The CD player is dead.......
I like the ease of a cd and the feel of having the media and a player. This was one helluva thread...
