Isolating CDP from weak wood floor
If your system is on the first floor with a crawl space below, your best bet would be to buy some screw jacks or house jacks and place them between joists in question and the ground.
Power problems.... Ground, dedicated lines, ect
Also, Square D and others make good boxes and breakers; however, I have found that I have replaced more bad Square D breakers than any other brand.
Power problems.... Ground, dedicated lines, ect
My lights would momentarily dim when my neighbor's AC would kick in. I called the power company one morning and the were there by the afternoon and found a loose connection on the drop to my house. When in doubt, give you power company a call, it ...

Folded dipole antennas should still be available at Rat Shack
Low Hours Phono Cartridges?
. . . and what is exactly "low hours" anyway? Less than 50?100? or? . . . and how does one measure those hours? By counting sides of LPs played? Or do you just take good guess-tamate?
Installing Apogee Divas w/ribbons to the outside
If you haven't already, you may want to pose this very question at the Apogee Acoustics User Group forum. There are some seriously knowledgeable and friendly Apogee users there that I'm sure could shed some light on this question.FWIW, I've only l...

I'm using a AA-battery powered LED gooseneck lamp that I bought at Harbor Freight Tools for about $25. It was marketed as a small workbench lamp for close work, but you can find the same thing at Lowes marketed as a BBQ grill lamp. What's nice bes...
Best and Worst Rock Concert Moments
I'm not sure if it was the best or the worst, but I was one of the 32000 people who bought a $12, three-day-event ticket to Stompin' 76 in the rural hills of southern Virginia. The only problem was that 150k to 200k people actually attended! The y...
Motorola transistors
. . . but you probabaly won't hear any big difference by changing output devices from one revision to another. The main thing is to make sure that the bias is correctly.
Motorola transistors
. . . and actually newer, better, and more closely matched out of the box than the 15022/15023 is the ON Semi MJ21195 (PNP) and MJ21196 (NPN). Currently, I'm in the middle of totally rebuilding a Threshold Stasis 2 using these. Lot's of good info ...
Black Gates - Standard vs FK/Non-Polars
Jov, after reading over this old thread again, one thing occurred to me that may, or may not, be the cause of your less than good results after replacing the electrolytic caps with Black Gate Standards in you Threshold SL-10. Older Threshold produ...
