Helmholtz resonator equation help? Anyone?
Ok, it appears the 3rd collumn of examples down on their comparison chart, is ALL WRONG! Everything else seems to calculate out, using the formula, figuring for frequency of resonance. Now all I have to do is plug in to figure for "airspace depth"...

Yeah, everyone has different gear. YOu'll honestly just have to try something to see if it fits your tastes...then learn to maximize the sound with matching gear and proper setup. If not, you'll never know. Good luck

I agree with the 200c recommendation...I think...?(lol)It's been a while for those, but I think the 200 had like 3 drivers, including a coax mount, right? Should be more dynamic.Anyway, I also concure with dipole surrounds situation, for easy setu...

NO. Really, the more power, the better! People "clip" speakers, most every time, due to "underpowering" the speakers with their amp/receivers!!!The more power/control over your speaker drivers, the better! Trust me, 23 years experience professiona...

Floorstanding surround speakers??
Here's the deal..Everything is a "balance" when it comes to setting up a systme properly. That said, the downsides of full range speakers in the rear, in typical rooms, often overshadows the "up-sides" or pluses! It can be done, but not usually, g...
Anyone with a high-end home theater sans sub?
You know, we can flip flop terminoligy back and forth, we're talking about the same thing in regards to "tighly controled/damped woofers" vs. more loosly controled woofers. And there are certainly many high performance subs that do very well in th...
Anyone with a high-end home theater sans sub?
Actually, in clarifying, I'm refering to something else here in regards to "speaker driver Q"! yes, lower "Q" woofer is a tighter driver setup. Higher 2.0, etc, "Q" is typical in boomy subs, yes. "Q" is an often misinterpreted discription, dpendin...
