Different brand/model Sub(s) integration
+2 oldhvy - No bottom firing subs and yes on servo subs if you can afford.
TANNOY will stop Hi-FI ?

yamaha cr-800
I'm guessing here, but I believe you need a better FM antenna. You should also use the 75 ohm input rather than the 300 ohm input if you have a choice. That works better for me. Depending on your location, you may even need an outdoor antenna desi...
Do speaker wires have to be the same length for each speaker?
Having one shorter than the other would be better than splicing to make them the same length.
Different brand/model Sub(s) integration
I'd go with another brand and or model. Different resonance frequencies are a good thing. For me it would be a larger one that goes down lower in frequency, but whatever you can afford would be an improvement. You're also going to need to experime...
Speaker cable shootout Townsend Audio Fractal F1, Fidelium, AA Statement e SC Cryo rhodium
Rhodium is just hi-fi marketing BS. You don't need corrosion resistance for audio connectors, in fact silver oxide is a very good conductor. Silver connectors have the lowest resistance. but gold is very good. I use silver(1) or gold(2) plated con...
Different brand/model Sub(s) integration
I think you need more than one sub, at least 2, the more subs will reduce your dead zone. Absolutely use a crossover with a high pass filter to your main stereo speakers.
Do speaker wires have to be the same length for each speaker?
No they don't have to be. But I do used the same length cables to each stereo channel to keep the resistance/impedance the same.
what is your preferred listening mode
I used DTS when I had a surround system. I sold my surround system last year after 20 years of trying to get the desired clarity from the vocals. I've now gone back to a 2-channel stereo system and can understand the vocals much better than everyt...
Help, MC7270 with 2 pairs, Serial or Parallel
I would not run 2 pairs of any speaker in the same room for stereo listening. The only benefit is higher sound level at the expense of imaging and clarity. Best wishes.
Anyone know of an independent tech out there with experience in Bryston amplifier?
If they have references for Bryston service, I would consider. If not, it's back to the factory. You don't want inferior parts put in any Bryston equipment, I'm a Bryston fan.
Any Brands You “Hate” because of a bad dealer experience many years ago?
Pass Labs. Even though they make great sounding equipment, I have bought Pass equipment used only.
What are in these Bose speakers anyways
Just plain bad.
Best Way to Split Amplifier Output Frequencies to Main Speakers and Subwoofer
+1 elevick. And running through low-level inputs give you deeper bass. No answer from OP on separable preamp outputs and power amp inputs. I'm stopping.
Turntables thump when turning off?
Try the above suggestions, you can do it.
