New DAC! Meitner MA3, Denafrips Terminator Plus, Holo May KTE, Mola Mola Tambaqui
+1 on your PS Audio comments @w123ale I went from PS Audio (dull) to Auralic Vega 2 (much more resolving but edgy) to MM Tambaqui.  Amazing resolution, clarity, soundstage, imaging..  Adding a quality streamer brings it all home; more engaging, wa...
I have perfected my network for the nth time
I think a lot of people refer to 'buffering' when the sound (or tv) spins its wheels and reloads a bit.   Buffering is the streamer or tv downloading ahead of playback to have a reserve so to speak of info and hopefully never be behind. Stutterin...
I have perfected my network for the nth time
Hello @lalitk, I have not heard the top Aurender models.  but the S1 is easily better than the Aries G2.0 and sounds slightly better than the MU1.  I am still a Roon fan.  I have two systems and two additional (bedroom / bathroom) endpoints so I e...
I have perfected my network for the nth time
@ghdprentice I tend to want to do both!  Optimize the network then add a very good streamer!  I currently have a JCAT XACT S1 Streamer on trial from Marcin at JCAT.   It is sounding amazing.  It runs JPLAY, Marcin's proprietary software.  It does ...
I have perfected my network for the nth time
Hello @singingg ,  Wow. We have done many similar things in our network optimization.  I never tried optical though, and probably won't.  One thing I have not done is upgrade the power supply to my ONT terminal in my garage.  I also have one long...
The best speaker cables you’ve had
+1 @danmar123 on the FS a36.  I just made and replaced my speaker wires which were generic 8g copper with new Furutech FS a36 which I terminated with Furutech gold plated spades (very nice).  I ran this pair to the high inputs, and kept the older ...
Has anyone heard the TAD Evo One and the Raidho TD floorstanders? How do they compare?
Yes very nice @blisshifi !  Since I am sure you know my two sets of speakers, can you elaborate on how comparably sized Borenson and Raidho speakers compare and contrast?  I have YG Hailey 2's, which I am guessing you will say are even more accura...
Need Advice on Amplifiers
At any price point, Audionet.  Best of Solid State with definition and clarity, while also having great midrange  and bass and not fatiguing
Speaker that are 'KEEPERS" for the long haul!!!
I use Audionet Max amps with my Salon 2's.  In my cathedral ceiling family room the soundstage is very deep and high.
Speaker that are 'KEEPERS" for the long haul!!!
Hello @kennymacc ,  I also own and love the Salon 2's.  About 7 years ago, I set out to move my venerable B/W N802's downstairs and wanted new speakers for our family room.  Sound of course for me, but my lady was tired of the B/W look. We spent ...
Cable elevators
Joe from Kubala Sosna says let them sit on the floor.  I agree with @jallan , depends on cable design.
New DAC! Meitner MA3, Denafrips Terminator Plus, Holo May KTE, Mola Mola Tambaqui
So based on that (thank you) I guess volume offset is just the same as turning the MM volume down -2db.  But it is once and done, and the -2db does not seem to reduce sound quality  at least to my ears..  6v output still works and I do not have an...
Interconnect
Well you didn't exactly define 'less expensive'.  I have K=S Realization in my home, but for my occasional weekend cottage I found these Arcadia interconnects from Zafvino an excellent value.  I like all copper.  Great build quality. https://zavf...
New DAC! Meitner MA3, Denafrips Terminator Plus, Holo May KTE, Mola Mola Tambaqui
I looked again at Volume Offset in the MM app. I noticed by selecting -2 its value is -2dB (as opposed to -2v).  Somehow this is different than decreasing volume, which in their digital domain causes a resolution loss.  I do not think you loose ...

I do not doubt that that the distortion goes away at the 2v output; same here. What I am saying is that we do not have to turn it all the way down to 2v.  Use the Volume Offset instead.
