Has anybody listened to WLM speakers?
Had a short listen at Primus Audio in Kansas City using Nagra amps and a McCormack UDP-1 as the source. Impressions- huge soundstage, superb midrange (I'm sure the Nagras had something to do with that), excellent imaging large sweet spot and very ...
burn in, break in
As far as sound level I have read about swapping wires on one speaker so it is out of phase with the other then putting the speakers face to face. This creates a cancellation effect and allows you to add a little more volume without punishing your...

Ayre and McCormack ... a good match?
Jmc-I see your point about putting the link to his ad. A bit over the top. Take that out and my post verges on making sense. As far as Atma-sphere, it is the best amp ever in my system including McCormack, Krell, & Manley among the more notable.
Good Speakers for Low Watts
The Audio Concepts Sapphire III is rated at 90 dB and is a superb speaker. They can often be had in the $400 range. The MF A-1 as I recall was a bit of a problem child as far as reliability according to my reading on the net. It runs very hot also...
Ayre and McCormack ... a good match?
John-As I see it no specific pitch was made in this forum. He addressed his comments as a "plug" which was a reasonable disclaimer. Mitch2 has experience with the item and related his thoughts-the purpose of this forum-as well as noting a possible...
"What's Your Best Price?"
A mention of Neptune and no "cracks" about Uranus?
"What's Your Best Price?"
It is curious to note that I have lost out on audio gear and houses because some offered MORE than the asking price. One counter example disproves the theory. Greetings from Neptune.
