I think it cost like $30,000 to do this. And the complexities of all the computer interfacing.
Not sure for power conditioner my amp or not.
@facten This two outlet surge protector looks pretty simple and may be a really good thing. I take heart to it being in your systems given all the stuff you’re into. Sound degradation being of concern. It’s only a couple hundred bucks and availa...
Not sure for power conditioner my amp or not.
I had a problem plugging my amplifiers into a Power conditioner where the amplifiers were not getting enough power to turn on properly. I apparently overcrowded the conditioner with lots of audio equipment. When I connected an amplifier direct to ...
Service After the Sale
Manufacturers need to support the dealers better. If there’s a problem dealers are left on their own, and then they have to deal with nightmarish warranty service route. Dealers are caught in the middle. If the manufacturer makes a mistake in pr...
Can anyone explain what a power tube does inside an amplifier, eg kt88.
So is each tube individually responsible for incrementally amplifying signal?? I believe all eight tubes would be on the same circuit. Just like a Christmas tree lighting system?
Can anyone explain what a power tube does inside an amplifier, eg kt88.
Why is it necessary to have eight Power tubes on a mono block amp? Assuming its 300 watts, does this mean each tube is incrementally amplifying the total watt availability? Why not just do a few tubes, or would that means less watts available? Th...

@tonydennison  Chat GBT did a great job above. And your comment asking how it actually controls the valve activity is very key. Also there was a document above from @tablejockey that looks very promising. Ultimately the end answer, is likely ve...
Can anyone explain what a power tube does inside an amplifier, eg kt88.
I've asked this question directly to humans and haven't had good answers. I don't think many people really do know. Google reference is not good on this point for some reason. YouTube doesnt offer an explanation of what happens inside a tube that ...
Why is solid state more popular when tubes are better?
Zesto!, if I was ever selling preamps, I would definitely want to name them zesto. How can I take this brand name seriously
Why is solid state more popular when tubes are better?
Presto, if I was selling preamps I would definitely want to name it presto.
Why is solid state more popular when tubes are better?
@ghdprentice  And how did it sound? Any tubes?
Why is solid state more popular when tubes are better?
Transistors transistors transistors. Need more transistors. At least with tubes you could see it and swap out. With transistors who the hell knows what the heck it is. So the manuf company buy some transistors from China or some far off place and...
Best way to clean glossy finish on speakers?
I ran across a package of two types of microfiber fabrics and link below, which includes a soft microfiber towels and a leatherly smooth fabric swatch that would seem to be ultra smooth. I’ve seen them before when they come with glasses i have bo...
