What amp do use to drive your Klipsch Cornwall I, Threshold or Pass Labs were the best for mine.
Downsizing and child proofing Lloydc, you obviously don't have kids! Besides the safety issue of learning to walk by holding on to objects in the room, there are other issues here. My daughter out of the blue one day decided to push all of the dust caps in. She learned and nev...
What Speakers to use in a bar/restaurant environment Brrgrr, I've owned clubs. Stick with commercial. Big speakers tend to blow people out of certain areas. You are right to go with a 70volt system or a system with a very high voltage 8-12 pair impedance matching control. Cheap controls will literal...
speakers close to the back wall ? Socks are cheaper than dynaudio plugs???
Magneplanar 1.7 and low power/tube amps 21 watts will lead to unhappiness. If you want to listen to very quiet music, don't waste the money on the 1.7's either. I've tried maggies with 12, 17, 20 & 40 watt amps and was always left wanting more. No bass for starters and they break up...
A phono amp that beats the MFA Magus's phono? You won't beat the Magus easily. It's awesome. A nice Audio Research could be an upgrade.Upgrading the tubes to NOS can make a huge difference too.
Best Late Night Low Volume Speaker I use my Merrill single drivers all day long as computer speakers. Great with low level listening. The other advantage of small single driver speakers is there really is a lack of bass to disturb others at night.
Question about lower freq response. The Revel needs about 200 hours minimum to break in...
Cambridge Audio 840C DAC vs. what? It will clearly beat a Rega, Music Hall, Jolida and more...
biamping with a arc 150.2 and vtl mb125 The output won't always be even between the amps. You may have too much bass when quiet listening and too little bass at high volumes or the reverse. You really should have matching amps to do this (it can't hurt to try).
Best high-efficiency speaker under 10K Coincident!
What are the best small not bookshelf speakers? Be careful with zone 2. They are not all created equal. Amplified or not, variable volume or not, most zone 2's do not pass through digital signals, analogue only. Also, you want to have the remote control feature of zone 2 also?
Multi zone amps I have a Denon multi-room and it makes things simple. However, an external amp will get you better sound. The Denon multi-zones are mid fi sound at best. You can use a Denon 385? with a nice power amp for one of the zones.
Martin Logan Aerius i or Vandersteen 2Ce ??? You need to keep the Vandy's away from the walls too.
Help buying fullrange speakers for $1500 You are getting great responses. However, your amp or receiver will make a huge difference. What are you driving the speakers with? |
