Portable Bluetooth speaker recommendations? I've played with some of their line. As you go up in price, the sound gets "bigger". This is due to more amps, bigger boxes and more. The XS has 2 tweeters but not much of a cabinet. It is quite portable.Honestly, you should contact Geneva and...
tube for ARC LS2B II preamp Amperex Trumpeter/Bugle Boys always seemed very "soft" to me.
Treating Floor in New Construction - Reducing Footfall and Vibration Joists 16" on center is the industry standard. Usually you will get 5/8 plywood on top. 1 inch tongue and groove plywood all glued and screwed will be as Williewonka said "concrete". You shouldn't need more joists. The plywood is a cheaper and...
Center and Mains Mac's are not known for having great speakers. You really should consider a new center. USAM has multiple pairs of Def Tech speakers listed that will match the sound of yours. You don't even need a powered sub in the center so something like a ...
Please recommend preamp Al, I couldn't have said it better. I have owned some HUGE clubs and have cooked more than one piece. The worst casualty was melting some Niles gear after running too much wattage for too long of a time. Our original QSC amps never failed us in...
Portable Bluetooth speaker recommendations? I've got the Model S. Big sound from a little box. The XS is made to travel.
PC system advice. Dayton Audio Class T amps from Partexpress are great for $88.
Portable Bluetooth speaker recommendations? Geneva Labs Model S or XS. You can even get one with an Ipod dock but both have Bluetooth.
Please recommend preamp Makem, if we bought amps just by specs, all of us would buy QSC amps. However, these were designed for commercial use, not home use. They are totally abusable and never fail. I would bet that if you put these side by side with many 100 wpc home...
Center and Mains You have a 7 channel amp, try bi-amping your mains and see if it helps. Personally, I think you will see the most improvement in clarity by matching your front three speakers. I'm not knocking mac or def tech, they all sound better by matching a...
Suspensions on turntable...really effective? Compare a Sota Jewel to a Sapphire. They can sound almost identical. However, the suspension in the Sapphire can definitely help if there is any movement at all. However, a bad suspension is worse than no suspension at all. I had a Thorens 125 w...
Denon to Parasound Personally, I would listed to an odyssey in your system before buying. I have a friend selling one and it sounds great in his system and sounds like crap with my extremely efficient coincidents. The odyssey can drive almost anything. Also, Revels...
I've narrowed it down but... 50 watts is pretty low in this day and age of AVR's. The dynamics are fairly high in theater and that may not cut it for a movie. 87db isn't so efficient. Also, watch the impedance with the Yamaha. They don't like less than 8 ohms.Is wifi that...
DUAL SUBS IN THE $10,000-$15,000 RANGE If you are dropping that much, you should consider consulting a sound engineer. You may get more bang for your buck by running different size subs to cover the frequency range better (12, 15 & 18 inch)? If this is mainly theater, putting tra...
Why would anyone want 180g records ? The weight can make a difference in helping the album to stay put without vibration. How many of us use clamps or weights to help connect the vinyl to the platter? Many times the 180 gram records are recorded better. I love them-just my 2 cents. |
