Jeffreybehr's suggestion is a good one if a 6dB high pass is OK, and for this application it is. However, I believe that a good electronics X/O would do the job without audible degradation. My only caution is that this fixed capacitor approach does...
Goodmans HE2 3 way speakers?
I would guess that Goodmans made their own drivers. Back in the 1950's, when you bought drivers and made your own enclosures, Goodmans drivers were competitive with Warfedales. I used some, but preferred the Warfedales.

Linkoping...Please provide some detail about your problem with the Marchand X/O. They have a reputation of excellent performance at reasonable cost, although my experience has only been with the SS units.
Another sign SACD is dying
Milpai..."Snobish"?? Actually it seems to me that some SACD audiophiles have a snobish attitude about DVDA, those pesky PCM discs that have so many non-audio features. It's a bit like the way vinyl guys look down their noses at digital.
Joan Baez - Do I just not get it?
Joan Baez did us a great favor in finding, restoring, and performing a huge range of authentic folk songs...ballads which actually tell a story. Her voice is authentic, generally not backed up by other singers and a studio band. She actually playe...
How Old is Old when considering an Amp? Krell, Bry
Electronic equipment can always be restored to original condition, IF, (a big if) the needed parts are still available. The technology moves fast, and the available "new and better" devices may not be suitable for the original circuits. Custom swi...

Class D Amp For 'Stats?
Unsound...Muralman1 enthusiastic for the H2O? I hadn't noticed :-).
Class D Amp For 'Stats?
It's been suggested that speaker impedance variation with frequency might affect operation of the output filter of digital amps. Perhaps that explains why Magneplanar speakers, with their flat resistive impedance, respond so well to powerful digit...
Any New Magnepans In The Future??
Whatjd...If the 20.1 is an improvement over the prior model it is not obvious that the push-pull magnet structure is the reason. After all, the 1.6 was greatly improved over its prior model without use of a push-pull magnet structure. The theoreti...
Ikea batteries went sour
Chemistry works the same in China as Germany. Bad workmanship (and it is unwise to assume this about China)would lead to defects like leakage, but I don't think it would affect life.
The black hole of component repair?
My Panasonic Plasma display got fixed in a week. They replaced a board. It seems that people who work on audio equipment could do better. In the good old days I was able to troubleshoot and repair all my own audio equipment. Now it's a lot harder, ...
Bi-amping overkill?
Kal...Good job on the PARC review. Stuff I have read about the PARC led me to become interested in active room equalization (passive treatments being impossible for reasons mentioned in the review). I agree that 24% of audiophiles should plunk dow...
Bi-amping overkill?
Check the specs on the PARC. I think that it only functions from 350 Hz down.
