| Breakout DAC for 2013? The new Metrum Octave II is out and is in your price range. The old one sounded spectacular for the money, but lacked USB input and 192kHz support. The new one has both. IMO this is one of the best sub-$2000 DACs available. | |
| Audio Aero and Spdif to PC Depends on your budget. I would sugest $440 JK SPDIF mk 3 or $499 Stello U3 as a minimum. There are big defferencies between those converters. | |
| Metrum Octave and 192khz? Metrum has just introduced the Octave II which is 192kHz capable by default and comes with USB input - similar to the one used in HEX. They alos made it one box to match the HEX look. | |
