I had the Arpege for three years. Worked great always. NOS Mullards on the input tubes brought out killer mid range. Lows and highs were OK. Sold the amp for what I paid for it in a week. Only sold it to upgrade to VAC and Audio Research seperates...

Speakers slipping on speaker stands
A little unsightly, but here in shaky California a must:I use black bungie straps from the top of the speakers to under the stand's platform to hold down my speakers to their stands.

What turntable for a Sumiko Blackbird?
I agree with above post but due to money considerations I am presently using mine with a stock MMF-7 with great results.
