What does this tell me?
I unplugged the sub, still noise. I unplugged the Power Wedge with the tv, & satellite receiver, still noise. I took a radio tuned to about 550kHz and walk around with it, whenever I got near the side of the rack with the amp, Oppo and Squeeze...
What does this tell me?
It's a dedicated 20 amp circuit, with two outlets about 8 feet apart. It was installed by my dad, who is an electrician. One outlet has a TRL power strip plugged into it. Into the Power strip is the Squeezebox, Oppo DVD player and Behringer DEQ. I...
Any SB Owners Using Channel Islands Power Supply
Digital out to a DAC.
Any SB Owners Using Channel Islands Power Supply
I got the power supply first. Then I bought another SB3 w/the bigger power supply. A couple of months later, I sent the SB3 in for the upgrade.I was without mine less than 2 weeks. But I think it depends on the backlog that Wayne (Bolder Cables) h...
Any SB Owners Using Channel Islands Power Supply
I've got the Bolder Cable digital mod. Again, definitely a step up from the stock unit. Quieter, smoother, etc.

Any SB Owners Using Channel Islands Power Supply
For me, again, in my system, the difference was readily apparent. An overall fuller sound and quieter background. You might try to find a Bolder Cable modded Elpac power supply and try it first. I think they were/are about $125. I'm not sure if yo...
Any SB Owners Using Channel Islands Power Supply
I've not used the Channel Island Power Supply, but I do have a Bolder Cables Power Supply. It absolutely made a difference In My System. Deeper, tighter low-end, more detail etc. Definitely give it a try.
All vandersteen users ?
I've always used between 100 and 250 watts of ss power with my 2ce Sigs & 3A Sigs. Other than the sound of the amps, I didn't notice any difference in "headroom". If you go with the Quatro, I would imagine you wouldn't need quite as much power...
CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME THIS?
Also I sometimes think it's a way to sell a new item out of territory and but still make money on it.Bingo! I once bought a pair of $1800 (retail) speakers from a dealer across the country. He had them listed as demos. When they showed up, the box...
In need of an amplifier...
I'll fess up, I'm selling one. But the TRL D225 is the best amp I've ever heard. All of the typical audiophile adjectives fail to do it justice. Do a search here and check out what everyone has to say about it.E-
All in one Flat panel with dvd
I've thought about going that route for a flat panel in our bedroom. Just realize that you're paying a premium, for what is probably not a very good DVD player. Plus if the DVD player portion dies, you'll have to add a separate player. Not sure if ...
Vandie 1c or Maggie MMG?
I've owned MMG's and 1.5's, as well as 1c's, 2ce's and 3a Signatures. I think the Vandies would work best. The Maggies are tough to place and can sound pretty harsh on poorly recorded/produced music (60's & 70's rock).
Anyone using the Transistor Research LabsM 225's
I did not hear the SE version.
Anyone using the Transistor Research LabsM 225's
Since my D-225 is for sale, I wasn't going to post here. I didn't want it to look like I was promoting my ad. But since Tvad already mentioned it, I'll throw in my opinion.I owned NuForce Ref 9's & Ref 9 V2's for about 1 1/2 years. I really en...
