What do/did you do for a living?
@trentmemphis - I trained as a mainframe-programmer and spent most of my time fixing other peoples screw-ups and installing software packages from third-party vendors. Large companies don't want in-house developed software because the people respo...
Increased interest in my Audio system during the fall
The Fall is when they revealed the new equipment models. Also, cooler weather means dwelling indoors more and going to audio shops. This doesn't apply as much these days but probably ingrained in your internal rhythms.
Should Equalizers make a comeback?
Legacy Audio makes an EQ box that's supposed to be the cat's pajamas. https://legacyaudio.com/products/view/wavelet-dac-preamp-crossover/
Can neighbors remote impact your system functions?
The house next to me used to mess with my ceiling fan all-the-time. My fan used RF (had a little antenna hanging out of the hub).
Compare BAT VK-3000SE to Coda CSib
VK-300SE was my main Ax for 10+ years. Magnificent piece assuming your speakers agree. Victor K. Is a brilliant designer. Moved up to VK-255Se partnered with VK-33SE. Just makes beautiful music and has a top notch user interface to boot. A VK inte...

Move your speakers closer together, have AP make to 8 ft pair and bi-wire.
What does an electronics repair shop need to repair my Almarro 318B?
Should be a very simple circuit. Any competent tech should be able to fix in a day or two. BTW, I've owned the 205 and 318A -love these amps! BTW2 - It was I that suggested to the owner that he should put a headphone jack on the 205 (which he did)...

Best Rock Song Ever!
I like Cream's "Badge" or Blind Faith's "Sea of Joy". They both speak to me.
the air dielectric
This was 15-20 years ago, Not sure Tara making them now. Cost in the 15K range. Vaccum  had to be refreshed every so often. Probably stopped making (for general public) due to PITA factor and lack of demand.
the air dielectric
@jaytor - Thanks for the correction. Though both are excellent dielectrics, it was sulfer hexafluoride I was thinking of.
the air dielectric
Tara Labs using a vacuum dielectric. Nordost and Harmonic Technology use air. I'm waiting for someone to use sodium hexaflouride. This gas absolutely will not let electrons pass through it, is non-toxic and inexpensive. sounds worthy of interest.
