how far do you sit from your speakers? I sit 10 - 12 feet away.A fluffy (as opposed to hard) blanket on the back wall works wonders. Also, a chair without a headrest is preferable.
Accuphase SACD DP-85 problem "Table Of Contents" or TOC error. Sounds to me like the player doesn't recognize that the first disc has been removed, and it's trying to find the first track (of second disc) at the address of the first. The reason it works if you turn it off/on ...

Any fix for a locked groove? If I leave my dustcover on, I get a "locked groove" every time (when my tonearm bumps into it).

DTS-HD Master Audio / Dolby TrueHD / PCM 5.1 Please note that DTS-HD has a significantly higher bit-rate than Dolby True-HD. This means the disk tranport must spin at a higher velocity which may result in increased player noise. In my case (Pioneer BDP-51FD) I can hear the player 10 feet away...

Seeking Ten Years After song Yes, I think old Alvin was a bit of a Primadonna.I heard it pissed him off when ace bass player, Leo Lyons, would steal the show.Mlauner: The Woodstock performance is what I'm comparing the Fillmore to (partly). The Fillmore gig is routine and uni...
Seeking Ten Years After song Bingo!"Extension on One Chord".I purchased the "Live at the Fillmore East" album some months ago seeking this song but didn't let the music play long enough (CD 1, track 6, right about the 11 minute mark). Not to be a pooper but I don't care much f...

Speaker choice for BAT VK3xi/VK250 I used a BAT VK-300SE with Rega Apollo and Thiel 1.6 speakers (HT magic IC and Pro-9 cable). This combination yielded the finest sound I've had in my home.Felt I was hearing 100% of the musical intent on everything but the most poorly recorded disk...

some hybrid SACD do not play? Kr4: I believe I owned the SCD-S9000ES stereo-only SACD/DVD player. I sent to Sony for a rumored firmware fix but no one there (was looked at by a Sony engineer not just a garden variety tech) could make it work with ALL SACDs.
some hybrid SACD do not play? I had this problem with my 1st generation Sony 9000ES (circa 1999).Current players should play with no problem (IMO). |
