Townshend Maximum Super Tweeters Ribbons, Amazing Results Definite Keepers
I'm quoting prices from Music Direct in U.S.A. $1599 & $250 (brackets). Thanks for the alternative source, however.
Townshend Maximum Super Tweeters Ribbons, Amazing Results Definite Keepers
Live with them for a few months and report back. Sure, I'd like to have them if they make a difference, but just tired of getting ripped off ($1600? and $250 for the brackets that hold them? Give me a break).
Where is you money at latest reissues Audiophile pressings or higher end audio equipment.
I have all the music I need. I'm now only interested in the "Super Fine". Disks that would make Harry Pearson's "Super Disk" list. Of course, I want to buy new music by exceptional new artists (e.g. Sarah Jarosz).I'd like to acquire premium offeri...
Slight hum in my amp. Is this normal?
No, my system is not connected to a cable box. I've given up wanting to use this amp with my Klipsch. Will trade in for a Pass Labs XA25 SS amp ( I tried selling here on A'Gon but couldn't get a decent price).
Slight hum in my amp. Is this normal?
@jea48 - It sounds most like your last link. Does the PL integrated have separate tubes per channel? Or could a single tube cause hum in both channels?
B&W ASW 675 Subwoofer with Creek Evolution 100A?
If the Creek has "Pre out" RCA jacks, you can use your subwoofer. I've used a B&W ASW-650 for almost 20 years with my 2-channel system. Pre-out means the signal strength varies with the volume control. If it's not variable volume, it is consid...
Slight hum in my amp. Is this normal?
I’ve worked with the national distributer trying most of what you suggest (cheater plugs, with source, without source etc.). The only thing I haven’t done is unplug everything in my house. I’d bet green money that the integrated is the source of t...
Slight hum in my amp. Is this normal?
The hum in my Prima Luna Prologue Premium integrated sounds like a constant 60hz. It is in both channels equally, Its amplitude is not affected by the volume control and muting the amp does not make it go away. My guess is that it's coming from th...
Bad vinyl
Hi Bill. I'm not saying you're wrong but I've purchased vinyl lately (within the last 10 years) that is just dreadful. This includes a limited edition "Are You Experienced?" ($35?) that has an impassable bridge (between the groove sides) that rend...
The all conquering Zerostat
Wasn't Upscale Audio next door tp RSL? BTW, '87 was the year of a big earthquake. I was working in the IT dept. of Columbia Pictures at the time.
The all conquering Zerostat
Was listening to my Sony C15ESD 10 disc CD changer today. Purchased in 1987 at Rogersound stereo in the SF Valley for $725. I've replaced the Laser once and the disc caddies tend to get dirty and stick but has given great service for 30 years. The...
Anybody try this??
I think the hot number for ("reasonable") two channel speakers these days are the Vandersteen Quattro Wood CTs.  For HT duties, pick up some used KEF REF 201 and KEF center channel.
Warm-up time.
Everything needs a warm up: Speaker surrounds, phono cartridges, amps, preamps. Every dang thing!
Gregg Allman passed away today
Truly great voice. We'll miss you Brother Greg.
