Should Rotel be ok to drive Totem Forrest? Hello again. Plinius and Musical Fidelity do make good pre-amps but with Totems I think the Plinius would win. Even though you are not into tubes, you will have a ton of Audiogoners backing me up when I say that in the world of pre-amps, tubes com...
Should Rotel be ok to drive Totem Forrest? I agree with you. Find a used VTL, Musical Design, or if you want a sleeper brand that is awesome, I have an Encore 2010 for sale in Audiogon that is almost as good as a CAT Signature. I am not self promoting and to prove so there are 2 on Audiogo...
New System for the House The Blue Circle stuff looks better in person but is still man jewlery. When the lights are off it looks cool.
Cable for vintage Rotel tuner Transparent is copper but will not have sparkle or crispness. They are a little laid back in the highs. They don't cover anything up but present a concert like you are in the audience and not the director on stage. The Nobius and FMS will do everyt...
Carbon and silver conductors Now I understand. Sorry. Back to the question? I know first hand that silver makes a great power cable and IMO it works better for that than it does for audio cables. (except when everything is silver including the voice coils)
Stillpoint Component Stand I havn't but the have inverted risers for carpet that Intuative design, (a speaker manufacturer that uses Still Points) says works well. If you call them they are rather helpfull.
Cable for vintage Rotel tuner I agree with Steve unless you are in Europe or have a Day Sequera Tuner. The Transparent cable that is the biggest jump in quality is the Ultra Link which is in the middle of the line. Nobius starts at $800 for a meter pair.In Europe you can hear ...
Need Advice on a DAC for my Music Server? It is my understanding that lossless is still compressed using a larger algorithms and taking advantage of newer more powerful PC's. It is also compressing less by only eliminating subtle reflected sound of low signals during passages when there i...
Carbon and silver conductors npepinnovations, maybe I typed it wtong. I know that power going through cables creates a magnetic field, I was trying to say that carbon used for electricity tends to creat less of a feild. This is why you use carbon spark plug wires if you have ...
EAD ultradisc2000/dsp7000 VS Northstar M192 Hello, Just the EAD and it's bright, thin, and stealy.
Denon 2900 versus Rotel RDV 1050 Help The Rotel sucks and I am a Rotel dealer. Besides the Denon look at the Sony 3100 ES and the Elite 45i. (Elite is so so on sound quality but the video and reliability can't be beat.)
What is Oversampling and why/why not its good? Best thing would be to call me at 563-528-0884 as your answer is long.First off, over sampling is only part of what makes a difference and is not the most important part but to answer your question...Oversampling is the CD players way of comparing...
New System for the House Rainmakers are not bad but a little boxy sounding. Go up to the Rokk's or Staff's.Good amp would be an Arcam or Rotel as a second choise. If you do a sub, find a REL or a 10" Energy as a second choice.I have an awsome sub for sale used which is a K...
What is the ideal listening room size? It pays to hire a profesional but the basics are to do a room with a WxHxD ratio of 1 to 1.77 to 1.93.Helps to have curves instead of corners and to have the ceiling that has a slite pitch. Start at 9 ft. and go up to at least 9.5 at the back of t...
Stillpoint Component Stand They work very well and are worth the money. A cheap version that is not as good would be the Star Points formerly known as Audio Points. The only thing I have heard better than the Still Points is the Viberplain but those are over 10K each. :-( |
