Using my current test equipment, I referenced 80db at 1khz and my greatest variation is -7db at 63hz and +4db at 40hz.I would be thrilled with that result.
Mac vs. PC differences to Airport Express?
Folks, it's Mac, not MAC. A shortened form of Macintosh, not an acronym. MAC is something else (Media Access Control, as used in the term MAC address).

Review: Sumiko Speaker Set Speaker
Dave, I wonder how "stable" the set up will prove to be. What if you accidentally move a speaker? Get new furniture? Change amps?

USB Ext Sound Card Vs. Squeebox
Interesting, Steve. So can you explain why USB is so superior to SB3 in my system (see post above) and what it would take to beat it with a wireless implementation (which would be my preference)? I'm not meaning to challenge you, just seeking your...

Do solid state amplifiers ever object to being powered on without a load?
Audioengine speakers
I did the same thing. I feel the mid-range depression noted in JA's measurements is pretty noticeable and somewhat unfortunate, but the sound otherwise is quite nice, very nice even. Also, treble rolloff in the vertical axis means you may not want...

What beats the Evolution Acoustics MM3 ??
It is worth the effort: Frequency response is flat (in a extensively treated room) Not sure I'd want to live with that. A gradual downward slope is what sounds most natural to most listeners, or so goes the conventional wisdom.
Any ideas in speaker choices would be great
...and end up regretting it.
