Harbeth P3ESR vs Fritz Rev 5 vs DeVore Gibbon 3XL
No_regrets -- I've just not had a lot of success with Harbeth in my room. They always sound great to me at shows but somehow disappointing at home. I'm stuck in a purgatory of wanting their rich warmth and also wanting clarity, edge definition and...
Harbeth P3ESR vs Fritz Rev 5 vs DeVore Gibbon 3XL
I've owned 4 different models of Harbeths and the P3ESR is my favorite. It is magical. But if you like a big sound and a decent effort at bass, it might not be the best choice.

How'd you get 400 hours of burn-in done in one day?
Best Integrated, period.
I want to hear the new Ayre integrated. Although I haven't liked all Ayre products I've heard, I suspect this new piece will be a contender.
Why do Harbeth speakers have such a cult following

Thank you, Al !!
Direct Digital Amplifiers
I just read JA's review of the Devialet D-Premier. It's a different architecture and not "direct digital," but in a somewhat similar vein. I must hear it.
Direct Digital Amplifiers
I share the OP's excitement about the technology. It seems to have so much potential for excellence by virtue of eliminating so much of the traditional signal chain. Putting my money where my mouth is, I bought a C390DD to play with. I'm not ready...
