SVS or REVEL Subwoofer
@fred60  I looked at the HT/1510.  Great unit and price.  Went over my budget and got a REL S/510.  My dealer, who knows my system and room very well priced it "very aggressively" because he new it was the right choice.  I also got 0% financing u...

@rwwear  It's 20 years old.   The servo mechanism failed.  It served me well. My REL S/510 arrives next week.  A new chapter begins. Thanks.
Do you think driver “break in” is real?

@rick_n  Thanks for your detailed feedback.  You convinced me to pursue the S/510.  My dealer gave me a generous discount and I got 0% financing until 1/25!

Bought the REL S/510 today.  Thanks for all your help!
SVS or REVEL Subwoofer
@2psyop I watch the video tonight.  Impressive.  Now I'm leaning toward the HT/1510, I think.  Or maybe the T/9x . . . ?
SVS or REVEL Subwoofer
@2psyop Thanks for the heads up on Nemo Propaganda for sure. @rick_n Thank you for your feedback.  I'm going to give the REL T/9x's a good listen tomorrow.  Same with the S/510's.  Given the magnitude of the discount the B&W DB2D's (retail $4...

@rick_n  I like your logo. Sounds like you're supporting the REL T/9x, correct? If I'm feeling like it's my lucky day, should I bother with the upmarket REL or B&W models?
SVS or REVEL Subwoofer
@rick_n  Thank you for your excellent input.  Great observations. I am going to my dealer tomorrow and looking at the following models: Within my budget: - REL T9x  $1,299 - REL HT/1510  $1,699 (leaning towards this one) Above my budget: - ...
SVS or REVEL Subwoofer
Thanks for all your input.  My local dealer has offered me a great deal on a B&W DB2D.  It meshes perfectly with my B&W 804s.  Way over my budget but hard to turn down, maybe.  More to come.
SVS or REVEL Subwoofer
@soix  Thanks for suggesting two subs.  I never would have thought of that approach.
SVS or REVEL Subwoofer
@deadhead1000  I'm guessing you like The Dead.  My first show was Englishtown, NJ, 1977. Anyway, any particular REL model?  I'm currently looking at the T/9X or the HT/1510.  REL's user friendly subwoofer tool suggests that I buy the SB-16 Ultra...

@2psyop Sorry, you are correct.  I meant REL subwoofers. I understand your perspective completely on SVS' business practices. Do you own a REL sw?  Would you have an inclination on their offerings around $2k? Thanks!
What is the forums opinion of SVS subs?
Hello all.  I read all the responses in this thread and need guidance.  I have a HT set up.  I use it for two channel music, multichannel music and movies/tv, in that order. After 20 years, my Velodyne (1250  watts RMS ) sub blew yesterday and I’...
Why Streaming Service Sounds ‘Flat’ vs Tune In /Local FM /Radio Paradise
@soix  #1 I have an Innuos Zenith mk3.  It sounds wonder, have Tidal and Qobuz built in, and the Sense App is great.
