Seems to be much more stable now. Is it possible the PSU needed to warm-up to stabalize? I just got it, and posted within 3 hours of using it. Anyone, TWL?
Tecnodec w/HR PSU - Speed Problems - Help?
TWL, oil is okay, I was actually concerned that I put too much in the beginning.
Tecnodec w/HR PSU - Speed Problems - Help?
I think my problem is "Bearing friction". I say this because I noticed the speed only changes when I move the platter slightly before turning it on again. When I simply don't touch the platter and just turn it on and off the speed remains the same...
Tecnodec w/HR PSU - Speed Problems - Help?
Twl, not to correct you but I thought un-contolled DC decks slowd down due to heat. The stylus will actually produce more drag on the outer edge of a record. I know nothing about this stuff, I just read this on KAB's website. So correct me if i'm ...
Should the platter and plinth be level?
My J.A michell Tecnodec does also the same thing. The platter is level but the base is not. I don't let it bother me. The small difference is nothing and can be compensated through tonearm adjustment like DAN_ED suggested above.
Should the platter and plinth be level?
My P3 did the same thing. I always made sure the platter was level. I did this because that is what the record and arm wil be sitting on.Cheers,Balance
Technodec w/Michell moded RB250, Used P25, P5?
The arm will definately be much better on the Tecnodec. I just recently purchased the Tecnodec and put my older but upgraded RB300 arm on it. It was definately a considerable step up from the P3. I heard the P25 a while back and remember it was no...
J.A Michell Belts - New v.s OId
Apparently they chaged the material of the belts at some point. There suppose to be a lot better. IO don't know when the chage happened though.
Is extremely accurate "VTA" adjustment necessary?
Newbee. I rarely listen to c.d's. I think we are all blessed but sometimes ever so slightly cursed with obsessive behaviour to the point of mental manipulation.
Is extremely accurate "VTA" adjustment necessary?
I just came across this thread. In my opinion I think "Extremely accurate VTA" is not only unecessary but rediculous.I have to agree with good ol' Roy Gandy on this one.I could be wrong, but I'll give my opinion as to why:First of records are warp...
Is extremely accurate "VTA" adjustment necessary?
I completely agree with the article. I also want to mention people go wayyyyyy to crazy with obsessing over VTA

HELP - How Hard is to Blow a Bass Driver
Thanks guy for the input. I was very concerned because I heard distortion. The song consisted of EXTREMELY LOW BASS only. The bass that was comming out of the Bass driver was driven into distortion, however for a short period of time only 30 secon...
Correct way to us Shure VTF gauge?
