Still looking for speakers in the 10-20,000 range
I've been a Wilson fan, now on my third series - the as yet (IMHO) unsurpassed for apartment- sized listening, Sophia 3, powered by VAC PHI 300.1 and linked by Purist Provectus cable.  I've never looked back.

thanks so much - I just burned a cd-r and it plays perfectly.  It's a relief to know that the laser mechanism is not at fault, which would mean another trek back to Audio Research, which replaced the transport about a year ago.-john

Wilson Sophia 3's -- positioned according to the 'Golden Triangle'  - an equilateral triangle between speakers and listening position. Magic.
Has anyone heard the Miyajima 'Snakewood' cartridge,
robyatt - now that my Snakewood has fully bloomed, I think I am not exaggerating when I say it is a musical instrument in its own right.  And yes, it raises the already wonderful blackwood Madake to a new level altogether. I'm selling my Dyna-T, b...
Best Footers for DAC?
no wonder you 're disappointed - you're hearing digital. Spend as much as you can on an analog front end and you 'll be listening to all the music you've been missing.

not to be overlooked is the Miyajima 'Snakewood' cartridge - fed through their KSW SUT outboard -- it's the most musical combo I've housed in 50 years of analog playback. See my thread under Snakewood Madake. I can live happily with it for my (for...
Has anyone heard the Miyajima 'Snakewood' cartridge,
ADDENDUM:  Art  Dudley just used the Snakewood Madake in his Capital Audio showroom - and listening to a 1974 Connoisseur Society recording of Moravec's Chopin last night, I could hear the timbre of the WOOD in his Baldwin piano - I never got tha...
Is tonearm cable the most important cable in the system ?
for me it's the cable between the phono SUT and preamp
Has anyone heard the Miyajima 'Snakewood' cartridge,
after sufficient hours for the Snakewood Madake to open into the KSW SUT, a play of the many Philips chamber works followed by the DGG tulips Karajan Rheingold convinces me I can live happily with this and my Shindo Giscours pre-amp for years ahea...

thank you so much
Has anyone heard the Miyajima 'Snakewood' cartridge,
Last night the Snakewood Madake opened even further, allowing me to occupy the space, even the height, of the recording venue of Solti's Don Carlo on London.  Tonight I fed it through the Miyajima KSW SUT to achieve a 'rightness' of analog playbac...
Has anyone heard the Miyajima 'Snakewood' cartridge,
amazing - I'm playing the Beethoven Quartet box by Juilliard- and it's tracking musically like no other cartridge before.
