Speaker Cable Recommendation
@bolong I really enjoy my cloth insulated WE’s. . The seller here on AG has made me a couple pair of speaker cables, one bi-wire. He’s also made me a couple pair of IC’s. He can be found periodically here on AG selling speaker and IC’s from his st...
Horns with good timbre and tonality?
According to Volti’s newsletter, Greg will be at the Florida expo in Feb. From what I’ve read in the past he gets good mentions from TAS and Sterophile. Partners with Border Patrol and Triode labs.    Did I mention I’m completely smitten with my ...
Horns with good timbre and tonality?
Volti fan here! Razz or Rival's are simply awesome.  I viewed a used pair of Vittora not to long ago, I cant recall if it was here on AG or USAM. If I had the dough I would have jumped on them. Unfortunately they are a bit out of my reach right n...
Speaker Cable Recommendation
I have a couple pair of the Western Electric speaker cable as well as ICs. Member here in AG who makes them does awesome work, really great member to work with, excellent communication. I’ve had them with Klipsch H 4’s, Tyler T1’s, and Volti Razz....
please help an audiophile's widow
Firstly I am sorry for your loss not only of your spouse, also for the music that brings you comfort. maybe reach out directly to paradigm directly for guidance. In my experience with them back in the day they were very responsive.
Something Fishy with Brian Hoyer
😂😂😂 I sort of feel bad that we’ve taken a detour from the OPs original. I’ll just say this. I had to do hard math the other night. Based on Watson’s contract, divided  by the handful of games he’s actually played, he’s made $32mil per game. I know...
Something Fishy with Brian Hoyer
@2psyop To be fair, I'd take Hoyer, Couch, McCoy, RG3 and of course Kosar over the current clown. @zappas and coaches. I live with someone who constantly reminds me that "her team" has had only three coaches since the 1800's... 😂
Speakers 10 years old or older that can compete with todays best,
Still have a pair of TDL compact monitors, 1988, with a good and powerful amplifier, they are beautiful! Original version of the mission 760s I still have, still one of the best sounding mini monitors IMO. The TDL Studio 1s needed Threshold power,...
Something Fishy with Brian Hoyer
I knew he was bad news when he played for my beloved/despised Cleveland Browns.
New Speaker advice
If you get a chance, may want to see if you can have a listen to a pair of Paradigm Founder series. I heard the F80 and really liked them. Up the series I believe there’s some powered low end options. Also listened to some Golden Ear models. They...
All Pre 1970 Vintage speakers suck! Prove me wrong
@waytoomuchstuff thankfully it was installed behind the screen and.. ahem.. out of range. 😂 @larryi thank you, I plan on looking them up. Great suggestion.
Need some help picking my first MC Cartridge
That's what I need @lewm something easy and straight forward.
Need some help picking my first MC Cartridge
I've been following this thread. I have my own Hana ML on it's way from Upscale. I dealt with Bill, he was great to talk to, good advice.  I also ordered a Dr. F. alignment tool. These sausage fingers have installed only a couple of carts over th...
Can you live with your current speaker until you die?
I know I may be a bit late to the party, but for me, the answer is yes.  My Volti Razz does everything I've ever wanted in a speaker.  They will be lugged into my assisted living unit when I move in.
All Pre 1970 Vintage speakers suck! Prove me wrong
I have an International Projector Corp. 1940's horn and folded cab I rescued from an abandoned adult theater. Yes it's mono, yes its massive, and yes it now resides in my garage. But man does it rock.  I'd argue that i get just as much enjoyment ...
