Does anyone out there NOT hear a difference in CD Shadorne, now you added the element/clarification of "...nostalgic methods of audio reproduction." Yes, if you are thinking along the lines of new gear made using older designs and charging an arm and leg, then we are largely in agreement. Then, ce...
Creative Cabling for Bass Quality Les, yes, certainly not only the total gauge, but conductor material and geometry are extremely important. That's why if you're going to double up you should try different couplings, as you will get different results with each set. I reviewed the ...
Creative Cabling for Bass Quality Les3547, I'm happy to see you achieved the bass response you wanted from the Legacy's. I was biting my tongue when there were discussions of somewhat sloppy bass. I know the Legacy products (the ones manufactured since Bill Dudleston reacquired Le...
Does anyone out there NOT hear a difference in CD Carlos, if you are referring primarily to the realm of low powered amps and high efficiency speakers, I would tend to agree with you. Shadorne, the watch illustration is fallacious; in timekeeping there is one universal unit of measurement. In aud...
Does anyone out there NOT hear a difference in CD Omegaspeedy, you commented, "I find it incredible that some here can't hear the difference and weard [sic]comments about the total cost of your system will dictate the amount of difference you will hear between them??"It's not so incredible that s...
Does anyone out there NOT hear a difference in CD Jeff, obviously you mean humans (since information/technology by definition cannot create itself; it takes an intelligent source for specified complex information) are giving birth to a new digital era. But, your poetic description is enjoyable.

Dynaudio Sapphire vs Revel Studio2 I will ammend my post to read, "...keep the attention off of design decisions (or accomodations) when such specifications are omitted." I do not intend to convey that the Sapphire is a shabbily designed or built speaker. I felt it was a solid effo...
Dynaudio Sapphire vs Revel Studio2 Tdwalker, the response graph for the Sapphire is not surprising to me. I heard them with Clayton Audio amplification, T&A pre and cdp (If I recall correctly) and Transparent cabling. I thought the low end was surprisingly good, too good for th...
Attention all Legacy Whisper owners ?? You might want to talk with Bill Dudleston at Legacy before you do that. You may want to ensure that what you do to it is reversible. I reviewed the Focus HD on Dagogo.com, and have not as much experience with the Whisper, but I can tell you two t...
Pathos or ... Domus, Thanks for the compliment. I enjoy sharing info/experiences about equipment to help people assemble systems that will give them something to be enthusiastic about. Let us know what you end up doing.
Pathos or ... No, I have not used those tubes, but you should not need to break the bank on tube rolling to obtain excellent sound in bridged mode. Even with stock tubes the sound is excellent. |
