Musical Int. Amp that has exstended natural treble
The reason I formulated the question the way it is : I don't want to waist time with salesman at Sound by Singer or Stereo-exchange. I want to listen to 2-3 amps an form my opinion. So far after listening to Krell, YBA, and MF A3 I can say that mos...

Best budget phono preamp for Unison Unico?
Stand alone phono stages are almost always better than built ins.Paying 250 for built in is money wasted.Buy stand alone phono stage. I use Rotel RQ-970BX and very satisfied with the sound.
Integrated amplifier below 1.5K for Sonus Faber?
I honestly don know how to make Sonus faber concertino sound good. But I would stay away from anything tube based, as I mentioned before. Tubes might be good for very forward and bright/detailed speakers. But for sonus faber you need good gain , s...
Krell KAV400 VS Musical Fidelity A300 A 3.2 A3.5
Dave I forgot to list the cables that I used with krell. They are copper 16AWG. Do you think that might be a problem? Do I need to use something like "Super braided anaconda triple jaguar cables"? Or "Viking Axe Armageddon transparent" power exten...
Krell KAV400 VS Musical Fidelity A300 A 3.2 A3.5
Properly set up my system? You mean with proper fuses and power cords? :)Dave why are you stocking my thread? Please troll somewhere else.P.S. Is Maple really the best for isolation platforms? lolAs I mentioned before Krell is a dream machine for ...
Krell KAV400 VS Musical Fidelity A300 A 3.2 A3.5
BTW just to add there is no mid range some highs and tight bass. I highly recommend Krell KAV 400 if you have your ears growing out of your rear and if you have cold house . Oh yes that peace of US engineering will save you money on heating.Where ...
Krell KAV400 VS Musical Fidelity A300 A 3.2 A3.5
I just hooked up Krell and it is awful. I have to turn the volume dial to 75 to get the same volume as my 50W YBA gets in 1/5 of the dial.Krell gets 57C in about 20 minutes. How is this electronic marvel designed that it heats up just from being p...
Krell KAV400 VS Musical Fidelity A300 A 3.2 A3.5
I decided to go with Krell KAV400. MF from what I gather is a smooth sounding amp. I hate smooth sounding amps, speakers and people. No surprise I don't like YBA or Audio Refinement or Tubes (tubes lol). What surprises me is that people who have 30%...
fuses - the $39 ones or the 85 cent ones
Undertow, you are the man!:)I would sign a petition to manufacturers of teh Worldz to force them to use better: thicker power cords with larger 3-prong plugs preferably red color. And yes while we collecting signatures ,could we also ask teh manufa...

I just elevated one side of my couch and it produced : yes you guessed it Blacker-Blacks and Better-transients in my head.BTW , you all can use Blacker-blacks expression, I am not planning to patent this audiofool's nugget.
Krell KAV400 VS Musical Fidelity A300 A 3.2 A3.5
I listen to LPs exclusively. Dos it mean I better go with more forgiving MF?
fuses - the $39 ones or the 85 cent ones
Please don't forget to elevate your power cables with a speacial Isoclean supports manufactured from the volcanic lava.I am going to call Krell and ask them to stop making electronics with those damn cheap hissing fuses.
fuses - the $39 ones or the 85 cent ones
Neither power cords nor fuses nor super fancy cables will ever improve any system's sound. It is phisycally impossible to improve it or reduce the loss. However in case of cables (noitce not fuses or power cords) but cables ypou might introduce favo...
Krell KAV-400xi vs. Parasound A21+P3
May I ask you : Why would you connect superior equipment like Krell to NHT Three speakers? NHT Three model has been regularly retailed at 400.00 new (799 MSRP) and I am not sure they worth even that little, now connecting them to $5000 worth of el...
