Active Speaker Choice Geithain is hard to get in the US. I know there's a dealer in the UK don't know if they ship to the US.
So you think wire conductors in cables are directional? Think again... I really like this site. Plug size of conductor in the calculator and it will calculate the drift velocity of the charge carriers. http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/electric/miccur.html#c4
The Placebo Effect then the first thing they will pull out is a modern electronic tuning device. Absolutely, I have a couple electronic tuners, one for my guitar one for my dulcimer.
So you think wire conductors in cables are directional? Think again... No ones talking about skin effect. You're talking about different things. Current is not energy. Current flows in the wire, energy flows along the wire.
So you think wire conductors in cables are directional? Think again... So....now it's being said the current doesn't flow through the conductor, but the spaces between the conductors. Current flows through the conductor by the charge carriers. Energy flows through the EM field in the direction the current flows from ...
So you think wire conductors in cables are directional? Think again... https://products.electrovoice.com/na/en/cableloss/Figure insertion loss for your application.
Better/best fullrange nearfield speakers? The only options I know are active monitors. Dutch and Dutch will get below 30hz in a small room are pretty flat from 100hz > 20khz forget about crossovers in these modern actives they're controlled by DSP. The Genelec 8351b will compete with t...
So you think wire conductors in cables are directional? Think again... Insertion loss and return loss are relevant for RF in antennas and microwave but not audio in a few feet of wire.
So you think wire conductors in cables are directional? Think again... Storing or moving energy. There is a common misconception that signals are carried in conductors. Somehow this association crosses over to the idea that conductors carry both signals and energy. A few simple calculations can show that this is a fal...
So you think wire conductors in cables are directional? Think again... Alternating current alternates, it's the energy that flows in one direction.
So you think wire conductors in cables are directional? Think again... But hey, he's only a recording engineer working with Pink Floyd so what do they know? Really interesting article. Thanks for the link.
Better/best fullrange nearfield speakers? Dutch & Dutch 8c, Genelec 8351b,
So you think wire conductors in cables are directional? Think again... Why is it the direction an AC wire is installed only seems to affect audio systems? You never see people complaining about their refrigerator boiling eggs or stove freezing pizza with backwards wires.
Why is science just a starting point and not an end point? Human ears don't interpret and perceive sound the brain does.
Active Speaker Choice If you get a chance the Neumann KH310 is another great monitor though a bit different they are laid on the side and are designed specifically left and right. Actives that are more home friendly aesthetically are Dynaudio, Elac Navis and Dali. |
