Cables that measure the same but (seem?) to sound different
There's already tools to explain differences they're ABX and Double Blind listening tests. If a difference is heard by enough people better than chance then science looks for why. So far differences that are heard have been explained by existing m...
Cables that measure the same but (seem?) to sound different
I agree that measurements can't describe the human experience of music but I assume the OP was interested in the mechanical reproduction of music.
Cables that measure the same but (seem?) to sound different
"Measurements, e.g., resistance, inductance, capacitance, are, these days, easily made , recorded and compared but are gross and crude compared to the kinds of phenomena which may be discerned by the human ear and brain such as, say, timbre. The s...
Cables that measure the same but (seem?) to sound different
I have to agree if they measure the same they probably sound the same. How many of the people you mentioned have done properly conducted listening tests which is one way to reinforce their position?

QUESTION: Who would you name as among the most learned people in audio, psychoacoustics, engineering, and psychology who argue for the real differences made by interconnects, etc.?I would say James Johnston but he says the opposite. https://ieeexp...
Active speakers and DAC
The Buchardt will work with the DAC but it isn't necessary, everything runs through the A500 DAC so it doesn't matter if you connect a $10K DAC or a cheap streamer or preamp, it would sound the same.  I used a Lumin U1 mini which doesn't have a DA...
Shipping speakers
I've shipped using SEKO not sure if they're in your area. Never had an issue but I always have them strapped to a pallet.
Active speakers and DAC
The DAC you use isn't relevant, I never used a DAC when I auditioned the A500 they have a built in DAC and every input runs through it.
GaN based SU-R1000 Technics Integrated Class-D, review by TAS
I’m not sure there are many who want a straight wire with gain. In recent years a number of small manufacturers and a few large have been building amplifiers with distortion and noise so low it’s inaudible to humans which is as close to a straight...
A non-subjective recommendation for the Puritan PSM156
You need to look up the definition of subjective. Everything you claim is subjective opinion, nothing more.

Here's a cheat sheet for EQ'ing. It also useful for seeing the frequencies where you might have some problems. https://cheatography.com/fredv/cheat-sheets/eq-tips/
Anybody else waiting for GaN and Purify to have a baby?
I wouldn't worry about it any competently built purifi has distortion and noise way below human hearing for that matter so does hypex and benchmark amps. I have tried different purifi, hypex, pascal and other class D amps and I have never heard an...
Anyone compare LUMIN U1 mini to Sim Mind 2?
Yes, I tried the CXN V2. I didn’t keep it because the AES3 out wasn’t in the volume control path. I liked the UI and like the others it has good SQ. It’s been so long ago on the Mind2 I’m not really sure what precisely irritated me but I believe i...
Anyone compare LUMIN U1 mini to Sim Mind 2?
I also tried the Aries G1. It had a nice user interface as well but wasn't worth the extra money over the U1 or Mind2 as the SQ wasn't any different. I've tried about a dozen streamers and never had a noticeable difference in sound quality your DA...
