Anybody want a laugh?
This switch isn’t produced by Cisco any longer, they probably bought a few hundred of these for about $40 changed a few caps and sell it to audiophiles for $450. It’s a layer 2 unmanaged switch that simply forwards to the mac address in the header...
Who says cables don't make a difference?
Now you're saying it's what you "subjectively hear" if you would have started this thread with that instead of  " There are still those who believe cables don't make a difference."then this thread would have died 350 posts ago.

Yes we read the ad, yes we know caps,  resistors etc..are standard upgrades, yes we're aware of all this. What's ho ho funny is the ignorant rubes who think doing this to an ethernet switch is going to affect anything you'll hear.

It's just a Cisco switch modified to do... well nothing as far as audio goes.
A challenge to the "measurement" camp
thyname , a serious question have you ever questioned any of these audiophile components like USB reclockers, audiophile ethernet switches, 4 and 5 figure cables ? Anything?

Pigs are very intelligent animals. I grew up on a farm raising pigs so you're not really insulting me.

Andy2  is blabbering about amps and feedback now. Where's the cable measurements? Who said anything about sound you wanted to know the best cable, obviously the cable that doesn't introduce capacitance, inductance and is shielded against EMI is th...

There's a guy here who thinks he can take measurements but he only knows one end to probe.

The problem with the citation of Einstein is Einstein didn't say it.
DAC Measurements vs Actual Experience
You give two different parameters. I look at measurements first if it sounds bad I don't buy it or keep it. The type of music I listen to has nothing to do with the components I buy. A DAC doesn't steer me to listen to certain kinds of music.
best-sounding class D amp?
I know most don't care but here's some measurements on Rowland 535.https://audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/jeff-rowland-535-stereo-amplifier-review.1253...
