objective vs. subjective rabbit hole Which is why I have dual FR speaker system, FR at 92db-95db, always out performs any and all woofer/tweeter system. Higher sens makes superior fidelity. Not to me. Active speakers using DSP crossovers and controlled directivity makes superior f...
objective vs. subjective rabbit hole Yes, it's possible to talk without assumptions. Consciousness isnt an assumption, saying consciousness is spirt or soul or a part of some God or the other is.
objective vs. subjective rabbit hole To me the biggest problem with talks from people like Arthur M Young is they begin their argument with assumptions. His first assumption is humans have a spirt, the second ESP exists. It's like discussing God with a priest, I might as well be dis...
Which DACs are known to be sweet/rich/relaxed? I still say if you want to spend money your best investment would be a Trinnov, it could replace the DAC and preamp. Why try to EQ with a DAC or wires buy a device designed for the purpose.
Which DACs are known to be sweet/rich/relaxed? I use REW to measure the room myself. Why not use it to EQ the offending frequencies? You could use room treatments but in this case I suspect it needs some attenuation at certain frequencies. Much easier to do.
I don't want to beat a dead horse but I'm bugged. Sound/music is caused by vibrations.
Which DACs are known to be sweet/rich/relaxed? I still say the Trinnov Amethyst would be your best investment if you’re determined to spend $25K. You can create settings to your particular tastes for different types of music. It would do much more than wires or tube DACs or overblown servers.
Oh Room Correction, how Far You've not Gotten So I would need 18 channels of amplification not counting the bass to run a pair of these speakers ? Our Apollo 9 system comes with two 9 driver AMT towers, 2 woofers modules (each containing two 10" long throw woofer Do you have anechoic meas...
Oh Room Correction, how Far You've not Gotten @arion You use Trinnov with your speakers? Why not build a system with the DSP and amplification in one box? $ 35k for a system without the amps? Genelec, Kii and some others you get the whole package for that or less.
Which DACs are known to be sweet/rich/relaxed? Why not just use the equalizer function within Roon? He needs to spend $25k so the Trinnov fulfills plus it can do more.

I don't want to beat a dead horse but I'm bugged. I didn't say you were a quack. I said those videos looked like quack nonsense. I didn't understand what they were talking about or more precisely didn't follow close enough to care it looked beyond any relationship to this thread.
I don't want to beat a dead horse but I'm bugged. I didn’t respond as I didn’t see any relevance to audio much less anything at all. Looked like quack nonsense to me.
How Electricity Actually Works Then there's hope, since they way cables in audio works is self evident to most people.
How Electricity Actually Works I think the simple answer to "Does this have implications for audio cabling" is no. I didn't see anything in the presentation that would make a whit of difference anymore than it would to television, refrigeration, lighting, power recliners, cof... |
