Gs5556 you make a good point. Midfi has become much better and to buy by highest price will more often lead you astray than not. On the other hand I would be hard pressed to take all those Stereophile Class A components seriously. As Albert has po...

Hi MrTennis,We always, in our "aesthetic endevor", end up with more than just "some level of inaccuracy to the real thing" because even our best systems with the best software rarely come even close to this benchmark. So, things being as they are,...

Ggavetti,of course human ears differ, so the subjectivity trap is difficult to be avoided, the difference however is not as huge as some try to make us believe. This is especially true, if you, together with a group of audiophile friends have esta...

I was quite fascinated with what Trcnetmsncom had to say about his perception of a high end flaw in the MA-2s. Tom's likening this flaw to the high end rendering of the Martin Logan CLS 2Z made clear to me what he meant, because I auditioned those...

Amazing Solo Piano Recordings
Audphile, I only have the Hyperion, I'm afraid, so I cannot say anything about The Russian recording. Thanks for the hint though, I'll go and hunt for it. The Russian is an earlier take I would think, unless Hyperion just bought the rights for it....
