Need some help choosing speakers.......
I recently purchased (though I am always looking for better)bookeshelf speakers with the same space limitations that you have at your winter home. I ended up with Castle Acoustics Isis speakers, that have since been replaced in the line with a new...
Feelings on Napster?
Eldragon - I agree with your ideals. But, there are not that many talented individuals that are willing to sacrifice livelyhood for their art. Some may sacrifice for a while only to be eventualy worn down by the financial responsibilities that gov...
Feelings on Napster?
The following is the quote that started this thread. "My opinion is that Napster is really opening up accessibility to music for alot of people, allowing them to try new things that before they wouldn't have access to or simply wouldn't be prepare...
What does 'shotgunning' mean??
Not a problem Cornfedboy, appreciate the assistance and I get it now. Johnny B. was referring to bi-wiring, which until just recently was legal in the state of California for medicinal use. Though I hear that a lot of people still do it in the pri...
What does 'shotgunning' mean??
Johnny B. What type of roast would you suggest for a good shotgun? Is rump OK? Do better cuts such as say a rib roast improve the quality of the shotgun or would it just be overkill? Thanks.

Can I connect speaker wire this way...?
If you like the sound of your new cables you may want to consider leaving them as is with the bare wire connection. I added crimp on Kimber Bananna's to my Kimber 4VS cables and found that I preferred the sound of the bare wire connection. It was ...
Silver cables - Great price!!
Monroemed. Kevin @ Homegrown emailed this evening and Gallaine's method of breaking in cables is sound and will work fine. Kevin also noted that there should be a significant improvement in the sound at around the 50 hour mark. Since everything is...
Silver cables - Great price!!
Gallaine. I had completely overlooked the VCR as a source to run the cables from. My wife came home half an hour ago and wanted to know what in the "H" was wrong with our three month old stereo (I had the new cables hooked up to take a listen). Do...
Silver cables - Great price!!
Gallaine. You mentioned 200+ hours break in on the Homegrown cables. Is there an easier way for me to do this? I have been using them on the main stereo, but do not want to listen to them in this state and have already started switching back and f...

Nice Tubegroover! I didn't think that anyone was interested in non-groovy performers, no offense Mary - you are a legend. I would like to add Patti LuPone from the new Broadway cast recording of "Anything Goes", RCA 1988. And also, Nancy Walker an...
Biwire questions - Best cable for
Tml2. I am curious about bi-wireing but do not understand why it works. Your way would cost me nothing to try. I have 14' single runs of Kimber 4VS with tinned ends that I was planning on taking down to bare wire again. Would it be the same as you...
